Meachem had good moments but never was really consistent for being a 1st round pick

Good for Meach. Never really lived up to his potential here but SD will be a good spot for him.

The strip and score after the interception vs. Washington is one of my favorite plays of all time. I'll always identify it with that Super Bowl season, because I don't think we win that game, or home-field advantage in the playoffs, without that play.

That's a much better fit for him than Buffalo. I liked having him on the team, but the value wasn't there for the Saints given the cap situation. I expect him to put up good numbers in San Diego.

After that play I just knew we had a special season going on. There was just something different about that season. We would always seem to find a way to get it done. This play is a great representation of that.

The Media really doesn't know fricking anything. 
I didn't hear SD's name once although losing Jackson definitely played a role. Good for Meachem. I'll always love every player from that magical '09 season and he was one of our brightest spots during the run.

Was always a fan of Meach. He made some pretty acrobatic catches in the endzone. Nothing beats that Washington play though. Congrats to him and we'll see him in his new uniform sometime in the dome next season.

Exactly what I was thinking when I saw this thread.
Good for Meach. He deserves that money and I hope he has a good and wonderful career.
Crazy that he was almost out of the league in his second year and he turned it around and gave us some good years.
