I've got three little girls (6,4,4) and for a bunch of reasons I haven't taken them to a game yet (They've done a bunch of tailgating). So do you think the spring game would be a good chance to take them in? How good is all of the other stuff going on that day? Is it worth a 3 hour drive? Any good/bad experiences? Thanks

Stadium opens at 11 I believe. They will be honoring LM, TM7 and Mo. LSU will also be celebrating/honoring the SEC championship.

Last year was miserable it was so hot.... still would not miss it.. I know its just a spring game but i wish more people would go and support.. Ill be there this year again whether its hot or not..But as for kids i dont know if they would last too long if its as hot as it was last year... Maybe it wouldnt have been so bad if all the functions going on werent on Asphalt with no cover.

Sit high up on the west side where there's shade. Yes, I take my kids to the spring game and have for the last few years. My oldest (8) goes to a couple of actual games a year with me. My youngest (5) can't sit still for those, and manages for the first half of the spring game though. The second half is always running clock, so it goes by quickly. And if you have to bail, well, it's just a glorified scrimmage.

Get them in MIke's Kids Club...It is $10 to join, if you take them to the Spring Game the kids will get a tour of the Football Facility/Locker Rom....for the kids this is worth the $10 alone.

The TAF Fighting Tigers also is selling $20 tickets for kids under 12 to hang out in the Stadium Club. Refreshment and foods covered. A good way to keep the kids out of the heat and enjoy the game.

It's a great atmosphere for kids, it's perfect for introducing them to Tiger Stadium. Less noise, less crowds and no assigned seating. I took my two year old last year and he loved it. He couldn't sit still for very long but we were able to move seats. He kept asking to go on to the field so we went all the way down to the fence and walked around it was great! I will definatley be bringing him again this year.

The kids will be fine and it is worth the trip. Just make sure that you sit on the side not facing the sun.

If your kids are in the Mike's Kid Club they will be able to go in the locker room and touch the win bar and run through the chute.

Mikes kids club is legit. I bring my boys (4 and 7) and they have a blast. I also promise them cheese sticks at Sammy's afterwards.

Shouldn't be so hot this year because it is early.
I go every year and enjoy reconnecting with the football program. I drive 2 hours to get there. If the weather is not too hot or not raining your kids will enjoy it ... especailly getting close to the action.

Based on past experience with my grandson, 4 is still a little young. Their attention span may not be big enough for a whole game. The 6 year-old should be ok. But at least you won't feel bad if you have to leave early because you didn't spend >$50 bucks each on tickets. You know your kids better than anyone else. Your call.
Enjoy !
