Durant is just a force offensively.

on offense i agree, overall Bron's defense makes him better

This is LeBron's best year of his career and maybe the best season a player has ever had.

How is Durant even having a better year offensively? They're averaging the same PPG, but Durant is shooting 51% while Lebron is shooting 54.7% and averaging significantly more assists

because durant has already won like 4 games for his team in the last minute that i've watched. mavs buzzer beater, went off against the celtics in the final minute and a half, did it tonight against the magic.
the dude is killing it in crunchtime and winning close games for them at an unreal rate

It's true, his numbers are incredible this year.

Isnt Lebron still on pace to have the best PER ever?

Durant is the superior shooter and has spread his production out all over the court. LeBron has taken a third of his field goal attempts from 3 feet and within and half of all of his made field goals come from within 3 feet of the rim. From 16 feet to the 3 point line, Durant is hitting 51.3% of his shots. LeBron is hitting only 38.3% of his shots from the same range. LeBron is hitting 41.3% of his jump shots while Durant is hitting 44.3%.
Lebron's assist numbers are always going to be higher than Durant's because LeBron is the primary ball distributor on his team while Westbrook is the primary ball distributor on Durant's.

Lebron will always have an insanely high FG% just because of his fast break points

Where are you getting these stats? 82 games has Lebron with a 49% eFG% on jump shots

exactly my point, these young guys act like the game of basketball started when "king" james got here

I meant to Durant being better this year. The LeBron haters are seriously, seriously fricking pathetic. It's hilarious watching some of these losers.

This year he's having is very similar to Jordan's best year, 88-89. Jordan just played more minutes so his raw numbers were a little higher. I'd give the edge to Jordan now but LeBron's were better a few weeks ago, will be interesting to see how he measures up the rest of the year.

durant is better from everything outside 9 foot.
Points Scored Per Game (Minus Free Throws)
Durant
9 Within 9 Feet Per Game
12.7 Outside 9 Feet Per Game
9.7 Outside 16 Feet Per Game
Lebron
12.2 Within 9 Feet PPG
8.8 Outside 9 Feet PPG
7.2 Outside 16 Feet PPG
So Lebron Scores 3.4 More around the rim than Outside... Durant 3.7 more outside than inside
thats a difference of 7.1. plenty to show a difference between their styles

Nobody said Lebron was the better shooter, your saying we shouldn't take Lebrons shooting Percentage into account because he drives and shoots from closer than Durant?
I forgot that Durant wasn't allowed to go into the paint...
