Why do the AA posters on TD hate Lin

Because it's not racist to say that Jeremy Lin is overrated because he is White/Asian. But it is racist to say that Donovan McNabb is overrated because he is AA.

There are only three of us on here. I have been critical of him, not because he is asian, but because he still needs to work on his game. I think I have watched just about all of his game, because he is very entertaining when he his game is on. However, when his game is off, it's pretty bad basketball to watch, at least a from a viewers perspective.

Truthfully, it's probably the media's fault, even more than with Tebow. The media has been pushing this Lin story from the very beginning. Why can't they let the guy just be average or good? Why do they have to create the story that Lin is an All-Star? The Lin story is still a great story even if he is just a serviceable to good player. But the media has forced the perception that he is an All-Star.

I don't think anyone HATES Lin. Its just funny how quickly he was given loads of credit over only 10 games. Now we are at games 11, 12, and they are looking much less like the first 10. The media wants us to tune in to think he is some sort of "All-Star". Hell, he even has a Nike shoe deal.....
Also, these guys who do a study on every sports center/espnnews broadcast recorded how many times one particular name was said during a broadcast. Jeremy Lin was #1 with around 300 mentions, and the next close was LeBron James with around 70 times his name was mentioned.

Im white and I dont like him because I understand basketball and the fact that he is a turnover machine who played shitty defenses and subpar teams through the first stretch. Or the fact he cant go left.

He is somewhat deserving of the praise, How many D-league players have that kind of impact on a team? If people would not listen to all the media hype,and just watch him play, all the superstar talk would die down alot.
