Watching the game on TV alone in my home.

Jack Buck said it well a few years before.

I was in USMC bootcamp. I had no idea we even made it to the CWS that year. I came home in late June, after being away for a little over 3 months. My grandmother had the Advocate with WM pumping his fist on the front page.

That was a nice welcome home gift!

in Pierre Part , it was my maw maws birthday,June the 8th. I will never forget it . I was watching the game, with my brother and sister ,on a 13" tv with rabbit ears. As soon as Warren hit the home run , our screams of whoooo we won , scared maw maw , while drinking coffee with mom, but she realized we were excited and not fighting. It was a great day

Could have/should have been in Omaha with my Dad watching the game. He had tickets from Skip since he had fixed Warren's hand a few months before

you mean your dad was the doctor that operated on Morris' hand?....if so, that is cool as hell...must have been especially sweet for your dad...

Yep. He was the 1. It was an awsome experience for him - being a huge lifelong tiger fan. Skip still stops by his seats and tells him hi sometimes.
My parents still have this large warren cutout sign with him rounding the bases w his arm up. Its been planted n their yard ever since.

I was in Destin, FL for vacation with my family. We had some Miami fans staying right next to us. When Morris hit that home run it was pure chaos!!
