This is pretty absurd.

I'm more thankful for the defense than any one player. Hell, they're the reason we made it to the NC. Someone should put an ad in the paper for them.

I bet this same fan has called him "Pick 6 Lee" once or twice.

Why do you two keep saying that?

I can't speak for anyone other than myself but I've never hoped bad things on jj just so jlee could play.
I do support the team over one player, I just never liked jj under enter and always thought lee got the shaft.
It's my personal opinion.
It never changed through 4 yrs.

WTF does that mean?

You know what "homer" means in relation to a sports team, right?

Are you saying you live inside of JLee?

What you, and others like yourself do is turn it into a popularity contest.
You don't like the ad bc IYO its a slap in face to jj, which IMO that has nothing to do with it.

Man, you just don't get it. It's a slap in the face to every other player. If there was a pecking order in mind as to who this is most disrespectful to, JJ would be at the bottom of the list. Again, this is about the team, not one player.

Some of you people take your butthurt to another level.
Earth to topwater: you aren't kidding anyone.
You are ,ad because you preferred jj over jlee their entire careers.
Just admit it, it's ok to be honest.

Now that someone decoded to give lee some credit/attention/notoriety you are mad about it.

It's rather childish of you if you would stop for a second and think about it.

Fwiw the majority of LSU fans are chumps I suppose.

Itll be ok pal.

This is so ridiculous. but what the frick...I'll try again.

First, those of us who "preferred" JJ over JL at no point ever suggested he was some world beater. Nearly all of us went out of our way to declare that we felt both were mediocre at best, but felt that JJ's upside gave him a slight lead. That's as far as any lovefest for Jefferson EVER went. Ever.

Second, those of us that dug our heels in mostly seemed to do so in August, when those "fans" that had been droning on for nearly two full seasons about how they wanted JJ replaced with Lee seemed to jizz in their pants at the news that Jefferson had been implicated in the fight at Shady's. Long before one tiny piece of evidence came out, many "fans" were all too happy to throw him under the bus for the sole purpose of forcing Miles' hand and getting a player that had not entertained them enough replaced. frick whether or not he was actually involved...get him from under center!!! Given that it DID matter to me, I dug in my heels and defended him against this stupid assault from the program's own fans. Funniest thing about this group, after droning on for weeks about how all they wanted was justice, they not surprisingly went apeshit as soon as Miles' reinstated Jefferson when the charges were dropped suggesting he shouldn't be near the program.

Third, I and others dug in even further when you started having our "fans" boo Jefferson upon his return. Surprisingly, overhearing the deluge of racial slurs thrown at him from the stands did little to fix the stereotype of what was driving some of the hate for far too many. Not all, of course and no one ever said that it was. but to deny that it was a driving force for many is akin to sticking one's head in the sand.

The worst part of this entire ordeal is that it's fans like you that have caused this reaction from the likes of me. I love Lee! I always have! I've never once said a truly negative thing about the kid. The maddest I've ever been at Miles was during the 2008 season when he and Crowton seemed hellbent on mindfricking the kid by continually putting him in horrible situations over and over again. I never blamed Lee for any of that, and the closest I've ever been to getting into an actual fight in Tiger stadium was the night one of our "fans" felt the need to to fricking CHEER when Lee got hurt because it meant miles had to bring in Jefferson! Shall I let you guess who that frick head has been cheering for the last 2 years??

Some of us really did not care which guy played...really. Had Miles gone with Lee from 2008 on and we'd have had the same level of success over that time period as we had, I would not have cared one fricking bit! What kind of an imbecile would you have had to be to complain about the success LSU has had over that time period because you weren't happy with the QB who was playing?!? I'm not Lee's Dad, or his girlfriend or his fricking agent. Same thing for Jefferson. I never once had a dog in the fight, other than to stand up for one of our players that was being dragged through the mud. I pull for the name on the side of the helmet more than the one on the back of the jersey.

Now, I definitely would contribute to that (if it includes all players) even though the D would be the focus.

So you do or don't have a problem with the ad? It attributes all of the teams success to Lee. Even the games that, unfortunately, he didn't get to play in. You're talking out of both sides of your mouth.

Orly? Do we need to post the threads comparing him to Tebow? Or prior to his problems at Shadys that were highlighting his chances at being the winningest QB in LSU history?

True

JJ's upside

Is this the part facing the sky when he was sacked? Otherwise, I never saw it. If there was any there, then Crowton and Krags failed to develop it.

Why is it a slap in the face to every other player? People praise Sam all the time individually, the same for TM7 or claiborne or sheppard. Individual adollation happens all the time. This one individual thought he would spend the money and put it in the paper. Great for him. By the way the media does this all the time.

Yes...you do. Feel free to see if they were legitimate threads or being sarcastic. Or even better,n if they were threads that were started in response to someone dumping on JJ in a completely different thread.

Nearly ever serious poster who "defended" JJ did so with plenty of caveats in place, though they largely went ignored as it was always more fun to argue with the strawman arguments put into our mouths.

So you want to take the extremists? So that means you and the other "jlee homers" wanted JJ to go straight to jail and stay there until the season was over, before guilt was proven? Of course there are gonna be some retards in the crowd.

Ok bro, that's fricking retarded.
That's NOT what the ad attributes.
It's recognition to a player that hung in there and was the ultimate team player that got fricked over by his coach concerning playing time.

Obviously it's you who doesn't get it.

If anything you crybabies should envy jlee more thanother player soley on how he himself handled this situation.

Umm Boxcar Willie repeatedly compared him to Tebow! Not to mention talking about JJ's winning the games. Hell in my sig line Drexyl credited JJ not the team for beating Bama.

Go back to the spring and summer when Les was leading the JJ is such a great leader and a much better passer PR tour. (A) we never saw either of those attributes or improvements. (B) several on here
prior to the Shady's incident were commenting how we would all see how much JJ had improved and how he was a legit qb since Crowton had left. Hell JJ even through dirt on Crowton but we never saw any JJ improvement!

Hell JJ himself will and has told us how well he played!

See...this is the phrasing that draws me into these conversations, because it comes off like a whiny soccer mom. and not like a hardened college football fan. Let me go on record...I don't give the slightest frick about the FAIRNESS of playing time for LSU players. Not even the tiniest frick. What I care about is how well the players that are put into the game perform. Your criticism may be rooted in that, but it comes off like some 7 year old's bitching mother complaining to some poor little league soccer coach because little Ethan did get enough playing time.

And of course, after coming off like that, you label others...
