"He rushed for 3,032 yards and 35 touchdowns his senior season at Napoleonville (La.) Assumption High School and a career was born. The Giants selected him in the fourth round of the 2005 draft out of Southern Illinois. At 6-foot-4, 265 pounds, he’s developed into one of the NFL’s most physical backs."

I know its ancient history but DAMN!! Imagine what he would've done here!!!

He didn't do shite at Auburn. Saban wanted to convert him to defense if I remember right.

Jacobs is pretty dumb. That's just the honest answer. He never would of been able to keep him eligible.

Saban told him he is better suited to play defensive end in his 4-3 at LSU. He also told him backup DE(passrushers) in the NFL often make more than the starting RB and have longer careers.

Auburn offered at RB, but asked him to switch positions after a few years there. He switch to Southern his senior year instead of swtiching to defense.

He had to drop out of Assumption High & take the GED after Football Season. He would have had to graduate from Assumption with a Special Education Curriculum diploma.

In other words, he was in class for kids with mild-moderate mental retardation. He was taking Special Ed classes.

The guy had to go to JUCO, & by the time he got out, he still couldn't get eligible anywhere but...You guessed it: Auburn.

Such a great guy tho:

quote:

“The people outside that want to say they’re fans and don’t believe in us, I couldn’t care less if they ever believed in us,” Jacobs said via the New York Daily News. “They don’t mean anything to us if they didn’t believe in us. They can go back and finish living their miserable lives as they’ve been living and hoping that they lose and whatever.”

BTW he's a racist and HATES white people and admitted as much in an article I read once....Would post it but cant find it!
