Really....tell us more....we haven't heard that perspective.

Had Saban went to ANY other school, you wouldn’t hear near as much flack against LM.

I wouldn't trade Les for any coach in the nation. He's led our program to an elite level and kept it there. With JJ gone we eliminate a huge hole at QB and Les wins his 2nd BCS Championship next year

The thing people have with Miles is that he doesn't instill confidence with maintaining LSU at an elite level. Even though he has all those great stats Miles has fans afraid once we slip up it's going to be a long fall and we get stuck in sort of in a gatekeeper role like what Georgia has been. We need a very very good year next year and a win over Bama to instill more confidence in the fans and to show the country that it's not Bama and the rest in the SEC.

which coach isn't this. I literally don't know one big time coach which isn't.

So he is just like the rest of them big deal

I'm saying that's a weak argument to hate a coach. If you want a big time team your gonna have an arrogant coach so there is no point in bitching about it.

Miles would have lost three or four games last year without that bar fight. His conduct during the championship game was literally inexplicable, thus all the crazy stories about pre-game fights etc.
People stretching for an explanation. RR leaving, three top LA players leaving the state, Gunner switching, all due to this belly flop in the big game. He better learn to leave the OC alone this year or we are doomed.

he also has one of the 2 most satisfying wins in the last 50 years. Game against Ohio State ring any bells. He's the first coach since the 50's to have an undefeated regular season.

None of what you say is true....other than our team "belly flopped" in the BCS game.
We won the games as a team...not due to any heroics from the QB
RR was never seriously expected to return
The recruits made their choices... Some kids just don't want to play at lsu, others find it sexy to go oos, and some have a better opportunity to play the position they want by going elsewhere.
Your criticism of Miles is off base and unjustified.

Not even close.. Nebraska 62 Florida 24
And if you meant LSU most humiliating lose I can think of plenty worse than Jan. 9

No shite!
Bama has 2 of the last three national championships. They are a recruiting juggernaut and show no signs of slowing down. Saban took woke a dormant giant just like he woke up LSU.
He has become the standard against which you measure yourself. He has lost 6 games in the past 4 years.
I know Les has won 2 of the last three vs Nick but I'm sure Bama is happier with 2 titles than ruminating over 2 losses.

Call me a sunshine pumper or whatever, but for all you negatigers that call yourselves "realists", these numbers are real. Les Miles is at the same level as all these recent CFB coaches from the most successful AQ schools in the past 10 years or so
but, but, but...........LC went to bama.

Miles confuses the shite out of me. In one of his interviews (wish I had a link) he basically said that this 2011 team created opportunities and they came up short in the BCSCG. Reading between the lines, he was just going to be vanilla and let HB, Mo and Reid create points. Really? That was the gameplan? 4 weeks of prep? No tricks? No plan B? I know...:bdh:

Reallllyy.....
Losing to a nationally recognized top tier program and coach is worse than losing to UAB in your own stadium...
Your definition of a humiliating loss is quite different than mine!

quote:That's a stretch when you consider going into this game LSU was 13-0, LSU was #1, LSU was SEC Champion, LSU was playing before a home crowd in the Dome and a national audience that was starting to really believe our Tigers may well have been one of the greatest college teams ever, if not the greatest. We had beaten 8 ranked/bowl champ teams already in the season. Oh, and LSU had beaten Alabama once. So yes, by not coaching or providing a winning game plan, for deviating from what had been practiced going into the game, by refusing to substitute a totally inept and rattled QB, *CLM is and was responsible for this humiliating no-show performance. He gets the glory for the 13 wins, yes. But he also gets the blame for this debacle.
And if you meant LSU most humiliating lose I can think of plenty worse than Jan. 9
