Brady sat behind Bledsoe his first year in New England.

Guess he wasn't any better than Drew. . .oh wait.

You have clearly demonstrated that you have little knowledge about QBs. The OP referenced college, not the pros. Please re-read, and quit embarassing yourself

So NFL coaches are worse at evaluating QB's?

Everyone is laughing at you, champ

The OP referenced college. Mett is still in college.

Brady was a rookie under Bledsoe. Not in is 3rd year, as is Mett

Mett himself said he had some things to work on, ie throwing everything too hard and taking care of the ball (because our DBs would jump routes when he held the ball too long/ took too long on decisions). Now when he got those things down pat/ improved in those areas, I don't know. but it may shed some light on why he didn't just come in and take the job (or even 2nd string) like some thought he would.

don't have the link, but it was in one of those stories right after 1/9. where he said it's his team and the whole Maserati thing.

And he's trying to dig himself out of another hole in regards to his lack of QB knowledge. Never forget, JJ gave us our best option to win (even over Mett) - Roaad

I referenced football in general in the beginning, I maybe should have stated Bledsoe/Brady. The point is there are plenty of backups who should probably starting on various teams.

No. I'm being accurate.

Many QB's ride the bench their first year at a program. Typically they have to get a grasp of the system first.

JJ and JL were thrown to the wolves too early, and it really affected them.

First year starters are the exception in CFB, not the rule.

I do enjoy how upset tigger is getting, though. Makes me smile.

Then theres the ever popular "I trust the million dollar coach"

Like those that trusted the million dollar coach that started Bledsoe over Brady, right?

Either way, Miles comes off as ill-informed in the QB situation, for many, many yrs

Yeah. . .that Bill Belichek fellow didn't last long.

Or maybe you are referencing their chump Offensive Coordinator, Charlie Weis?

Not really. You aren't really deserving of a boom. More like a pop/fizzle.

Keep getting mad, bro. You are brightening my day.

Jump off the deep end much?

It is likely that Mett will make some beginner mistakes in his first SEC play. He could have done that when we were up 20+ points in a ton of games in 2011.

Instead, he'll have to make those mistakes as our starter in 2012. It is tragic that Miles didn't get him significant playing time in 2011. Hopefully this doesn't cost us a game this year.

I agree with that.

Mett should have had more snaps this season. That was another major sticking point I had all year.
