when he died? im not talking about the scandel . he was a great coach and man . i was wondering who LSU's coach would have people line the streets to watch their hearse go by.

Skip bertman when it happens, as far as a coach who did the most for the university.

Few schools have that guy. We're one of those that doesn't (at least in football), so no need to try to force it.

Paterno was coach for two generations.

LSU doesn't have a Joe Paterno in its past or its present and I hope we never do. No one man should ever transcend the university.

I don't think LSU had/has/ever will have a coach with the power and loved to the Joe Pa level.

When your AD and president ask you to give it up, you say no, and you remain...I think that says all that's needed bout Joe P and Penn St.

Best we can offer at this time would be Skip and Les.
