brhunt, I'm not sure what type of finish is on your current gun.....sounds like it might be Parkerized. If it's Parkerized, it'll be difficult to blue it w/o first removing the Parkerized finish. OTOH, w/ a number of the synthetic spray on finishes, like Duracote, a pre-existing Parkerized finish can be advantageous for appllying the spray on finish.
