I just saw this on Reddit. Comparison of Berserk on TV vs the Bluray version
Was the entire plan just to push it out so they can get it aired and have time to draw more for the Bluray? There were still plenty of other issues with the show though, so I'm still not sold on buying it.

That is rather...odd. If the whole Blu-ray looks like that, I might actually give it a chance.

What's everyone's thoughts on Jojo's Bizarre Adventure? I heard it was pretty good and now Takashi Miike is directing a movie version. Two episodes in and it seems ok so far.

Visually, it's fantastic. I've just had a bit of trouble getting into the story on every season I've tried to start. I dunno, something about it just doesn't grab me like it should. I want to like it, but I cant.
Another show like that is Btooom. Kept hearing good things. Started it, and it's the kind of show I normally like. But I just can't get past episode 3. I dunno why.

Anyone else seen all 4 episodes of Drifters that are currently available? Wondering if I'm the only one who thinks the leader of the Ends(bad guys), and this season's big bad, is going to end up being Jesus.

I'm sure you'll like to hear that they finally announced a sequel to Code Geass. Only took them 10 years.

New one to check out.
Youjo Senki (Saga of Tanya the Evil)
On the front lines of the war, there is a little girl. Blond hair, blue eyes, and porcelain white skin, she commands her squad with lisping voice. Her name is Tanya Degurechaff. But in reality, she is one of Japan's most elite salarymen, reborn as a little girl after angering a mysterious being who calls himself God. This little girl, who prioritizes efficiency and her own career over anything else, will become the most dangerous being amongst the sorcerers of the imperial army.
I love the fricked up, evil characters.

Just watched a clip of it. The animation looks absolutely incredible.

Has anyone brought up Steins;Gate? I heard this was awesome.

It's recommended a lot, but I've never sat down to watch it. I've heard that if you really get into the show, at some points it can be a feels trip.

The animation is awesome and the fights are aerial gun battles.
The main character is a salaryman who insulted a god and was reincarnated as a young girl in a war torn world.
As a salaryman, he is the person who fires everyone.
As Tanya, she is a sadistic frick.
It really has potential.

As soon as I get Kodi set back up, I'm going to give it a shot.

This thread steered me towards some good stuff a year or two ago, so maybe you guys can help me out now...
I saw where Your Name has surpassed Spirited Away to become the highest grossing anime film ever - watched a trailer for it and some reviews (all of the "OMG WATCH IT NOW" variety) on youtube, and now I am pissed that we have to wait for it's US release, which I guess is still just "sometime" in 2017.
In the meantime, I want to give some of Makoto Shinkai's other works a look, like The Garden of Words or 5cm Per Second. Thing is, I can't find anywhere legit to watch it without buying a blu-ray, which I hate to do before actually watching something to make sure I like it. Anyone know of any non-sketchy sites or streaming services where I can see some of Shinkai's stuff?
