Anybody have a hawk as a pet? A vet in Maurice had one with a broken wing that was found and looking for a home for it now.

Can it be trained to attack and eat neighbors yappy little dogs that shite in my yard?
If so then I'll take it.

LA Wildlife Rehabilitators
If it can be released he needs to call these people and they can work to release it, also can check with Audubon Zoo they used to have a rehab program but I cannot find any information on it at this point. Last resort is to call LSU Vet School

Shiztzu (sp) make good bow targets. They're small and surprisingly quick if you miss the first time.

If you have a true baby hawk, its eyes will likely be blue, and if thats the case.. He will associate you with food and become forever MAL imprinted on humans and can never be released back into the wild due to the risk of the hawk being aggressive towards humans during mating season, or during food challenges.
I suggest somehow getting it to the LSU Vet school.. They are not the best but they are better than most..
Falconry is not keeping hawks as pets BTW, they are hunting partners , nothing more.. They can survive on their own without us, they just prefer to use us to jump game..
