If Lee can't take the pressure of another QB taking snaps around him, how was he going to take the pressure of the Bama defense? Losing some snaps is nothing. Losing a game, on the road, against an epic defense is a whole different ball game. Lee showed he couldn't handle it. To even imply that Lee getting all the snaps before Bama would suddenly mean Lee had the confidence and ability to make contested throws against Bama is homerism at its finest.

My point? Miles didn't get in Lee's head. Lee's head was never ready for prime time football to begin with. (Neither was JJ's.) A shame, both situations may have been different with 2+ years with an actual QB coach.

He was frustrated he was being taken out despite playing well. Any starting QB would feel exactly the same.

Lee was doing what was asked of him, then for no reason, the other guy started getting series. He never saw that happen when he was the back-up. He knew he had to be perfect. NO player is perfect. Miles forced him to be. Lee knew the deal.

There is no doubting that now.

Understandably, your opinion is shared by few. Lee won games with last minute drives as a freshman, playing on a team with a vastly underachieving defense and coaches who had no clue how to bring young quarterbacks along. Some of those 16 int's were attributable to his mistakes reading coverage but many were on the horrid defensive play which forced the offensive coaches to gamble. He sprained his ankle against OM that year and Les used that as an excuse to play Jefferson. The result was the worst offensive showing in decades in 2009 and not much better in 2010 except when Lee was allowed to bail the team out. The passing numbers once again took a dive in 2011 as soon as Jefferson replaced Lee. And by the way, in the Alabama game, the first int. was a direct result of a poor snap and the second occurred when Lee was reinserted after a horrific late hit no call which yes, did physically shake him up. Lee was, is and always will be a better quarterback than the guy Les continually tossed him aside for.

I don't think that's the point. When you come in and lead your team to the two last second come back wins and seal the deal to beat Bama in 2010. Then to start 2011 we finally have a semblance of an offense, a really good one at that. Lee was playing about as perfect as you could ask him to.
Then JJ gets reinstated and Les slowly lets him get some snaps which I was ok with to keep him fresh for when we needed him. JJ still showed signs of total ineptitude, but the run game and defense won games for us. However, to just yank Lee completely and practically ignore him the rest of the season was pretty criminal.

Lee deserved to be the QB. He deserved the support of his coach and the team. As soon a JJ returned, our offensive strategy changed as well, even before he started getting snaps. Could we have beaten Bama without JJ? I don't know, but had we game planned for JL to be the starter without rotating series with JJ, I like our chances.

Miles completely fricked up the QB situation this year and it cost him and his team in the end.

Tigercat,
You are full of BS. Les gave in to JJ and his Family. This has nothing to do with JL. If it did then Mett gets the snaps at practice and gets playing time as 2nd string. Do you remember D. Thomas was committed to LSU and the story is Thomas coach told Les on a visit not to tell him he could play another position other than QB. What do you think was the first thing out of his mouth. D. Thomas decommits and JJ commits. JJ and his family must have something on Les or LSU for Les to run D. Thomas off and then continue to play the dumbest QB ever to wear P&G. I have never bashed Les or JJ prior to the NCG but I can't hold it back any longer. I do not want to see JJ's brother at LSU because that family has Les by the balls.
