it is superb.take your time, walk the grounds,drink at the little bar and it will be a great trip

Probably a very good V-day spot all things considered.
I haven't been in over a year now, but have had friends who have, and all agree it is a very good place.

I wouldn't think you could still get a reservation this late in the game. If you can, go.

They usually do a tasting for V-day. DO IT!!
Get there before your reservation and go to the Turtle Bar. Your welcome.
If you dont get the tasting... Salmon, Veal chop, Lamb, and Lobster will all blow you away.

Put simply, the best overall dining experience in the Baton Rouge area. Get there early for drinks at the turtle bar and have the tasting menu with wine pairing.

One of the best restuarants in the area. Perfect for Valentine's Day. Start with a drink in the Turtle Bar.Everything there is great, but I really like that rack of lamb, the duck and the lobster dishes. The Banana Split Foster is a great dessert. Your date will truly be impressed with the food and the beautiful grounds of Houmas House.
