Long distance shooters: let's see your rig

I am in the process of building a decent long range .308. I'm starting with a Remington 700 SPS Varmint.
I have a Nikon Buckmaster 6-18x 40mm with BDC reticle, EGW 1 piece rail w/ 20 MOA elevation, and Burris XTP rings. Eventually I plan on swapping the Nikon out with a Leupold (probably a MK4).
I'm ordering a Bell & Carson Medalist stock to replace the factory stock. It has aluminum bedding for the action and allows for a free floating barrel.
And of course, a Harris bipod. I also plan on reloading my own ammuntion which will be Lapua brass and probably Lapua Scenar bullets.
If any of you guys have a rifle set up for longer distance shooting please post pictures and a description of components.

Yea, you're definitely gonna have to upgrade that scope to do any legit long range shooting

It is good to around 400 yards easily but you are correct. This is a scope that I have that I can mount on the rifle for now until I save up for the big dog. I want to extend my range beyond 800 yards so I will end up spending a couple grand on optics.
This is an on-going process. I can't afford to drop $4000 or more all at once.

That's going to be nice when Zombiepocolysp occurs.

faxis, is that a 700 Tactical?
What are the specs and equipment add-ons? Looks like a Nikon scope and Butler Creek caps. Nice paint.

700 PSS
Leupold Mark 4
It was a sniper rifle for one of the Swat teams up here and had been worked on by my dad for them to tighten it up past factory specs. They let him buy them when they got new guns. It's a laser beam.
I've got a spot on our place now where we can do a 500 yrd shot that I'm going to set up a feeder on and build a bench. We'll see how the hogs like it.

Nice rifle. What is it chambered in? I think the Ps come in .223, .308, and .300 Win Mag?
Did your dad do the paint or was that a police job? I'm thinking about doing some custom paint on mine but there are so many different options.

Here's mine...
A Weatherby custom shop Mark V Euromark in 416 Weatherby Magnum. Left handed with demascened bolt and follower and optional AccuBrake. Upgraded checkering and an adjustable trigger. Traditional irons plus QD rings holding a Leupold extended eye relief 1.5 x 6 Variable.
Long range is fun, but not nearly as much fun as pushing a 350 grain solid generating 6,500 ft/lbs at the muzzle.

Beautiful gun. 416 Weatherby. Do you go rhinoceros hunting often?

The recoil must be tremendous on that thing.

I'm thinking about getting a tikka t3 varmit in .308 and putting some serious glass on it down the road.

The recoil is unbearable without the muzzle brake. With the brake I'd say it kicks like a standard 300 minus a brake. The loudness and percussion is amazing.
I bought the gun to use on a hunt for Cape Buffalo i was planning a few years ago. Never made the trip, I got a wife instead. Oh well....

.308
The sniper did the paint. I'm not actually that fond of it so I'll probably do my own paint job on it eventually.
