Dear Saints Fans,

You need to chill the frick out. Seriously.

I know many of you, like me, are Tiger fans and this has been a shitty week. Yeah, footballpalooza turned into a shite blizzard if you are a Saints fan yesterday.

Look, as an avid 49er fan that has grown up in Louisiana, I look at the Saints MUCH differently than you do. I have no emotional attachment to them at all, so I feel like my opinion is valid.

First off, as a 49er fan, I still can't believe they won yesterday. It took five turnovers and Alex Smith chanelling Joe Montana to do it. Not to mention it had to be in SF. All of that was a perfect storm.

For you guys, you need to accept it, move on, and be happy. Yes, be happy. I promise you the Saints have at least one, if not two more Super Bowls before 2015. I'm not kidding.

In 2009, after the second game of the season, I told dozens of my closest pals (all Saints fans), you are winning the SB this year. They all said the same thing: "We are the Saints, we will frick it up".

Uh. No. The NFL is much different now. This isn't the 70's - mid 90's where 3-4 teams dominate. Everyone has a chance now, year in and year out.

Believe it or not, the Saints, like the Pats, Steelers, Packers and probably Ravens, are currently built to sustain SB runs in the salary cap era. One or two decent moves on Defense in the offseason, and the Saints will dominate.

I told my friends yesterday that if the Saints beat the Niners, they would win the SB this year. NO would win a shootout with GB. For those of you thinking SF will get blown out by GB, think again. SF will maul GB's front line, but that's another story.

I know it is the day after and you're pissed, but seriously, move on. The Saints will kick arse next year and if it makes you feel better, they get SF in NOLA.

Save this thread. Like 2009, I expect this to happen and I hope it does. Even though I root for the sorry arse whiners, I like seeing the Saints win too....exept for yesterday. (Sorry. Had to).

We're all just trying to pick up the pieces, at this point. Bitching with some of the good posters is kinda like therapy.

Good luck to you guys.

Ok. You're right. They suck and will never win another game. Ever.

Drew Brees will never throw for 300 yards in a game again either, and S. Peyton is a terrible offensive coach.

Better?

The only way I will feel better about this is if Green Bay wins tomorrow. If New York goes up there and wins, I might cry.

More likely door closed on chances than winning two.

Saints are good not great .... IMO. Other teams getting better .... Lions, pack, SF etc.

Also we now have rep of not winning big games. This gives other teams confidence against Saints.

Niner fans want NY to win for the same reasons.

One door closed. Yes.

Still have 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015. I still think the Saints easily get one and possibly two.

Have you seen the defense on Detroit? Yes, you have.

Green Bay? They have NO DEFENSE at all. GB is all offense.

SF has the best defense of teams left in the NFC, and they needed 5 TOs to hold the Saints under 40.

Look at the Pats. 32nd D in the league.

I could go on and on.

The Saints are GREAT right now in the NFL. "Good" teams don't set the records the Saints have.

The 2011 49ers are "good".

Irrelevant year in and year out in the salary cap era.

I don't think so. The Saints are just two years removed from the SB.

Do you not realize how hard Super Bowls are to come by and you are guaranteeing two?

EZE Tiger Fan ...

More Power to you with your positive attitude. I don't see it.

I hope I'm wrong and you right. But I don't see it.

This will be a tough year to overcome. Think of how that offense feels today. Jeez. We did all that work to be here and we need to do it again?

We lose a lot and missed a chance.

But more importantly I think this team choked and that's hard to overcome to me. Two years In a row. I don't think they win one road playoff game in all those years you mention. It's in their heads and more importantly in opponents heads. I thought it was media bull before yesterday. Now I agree. Saints can't win on road in playoffs. So if you want two Super Bowls ... Better get home field twice. I do not see that happening.

I'll go so far to say they won't win division next year. I see drop next year. Maybe a wild card. Don't ask me who wins divison, worse to first or close to worse to first is common these days. Look at SF ....

IMO we don't make any super bowls in the years you mention and by then it's transition to new QB. We had almost no injuries this season. That doesn't happen often. Just the odds go against doing it again.

So this isn't the 70s-90s where 3 or 4 teams dominate then you list what 4 or 5 teams that are built for super bowl runs every year? So which is it?

You won't win consistently without at least a decent defense. I would bet a lot of fricking money the saints won't win 2 superbowls by 2015.

Dude, my team won 5....two to three decades ago.

They've sucked for over a decade.

I know how hard it is to make the damn playoffs. LOL

The best part is, I believe the Saints have the best Oline in the NFC by a mile. I rate GB's in the bottom half of the NFC.

If we were able to disrupt Brees as often as we did just rushing four most of the game, I foresee Rogers on his back a lot.

Another beauty of the SF defense is that the screen game isn't efficient against them either.

GB may win, but it won't be easy for them.

My way too early score:

GB 24
SF 17
