Well, next preseason poll suggest otherwise myfriend...

The LSU tigers are loaded across the board...

I'm proud of my football team... SEC champs is major accomplishment in the toughest league there is in College football...

It took another SEC heavywieght to challenge LSU..

What does that say about the other 117 teams this year?

Exactly......RS could easily change and start catching balls. Remember how many ball Brandon LaFell dropped early in his career at LSU? Now he is a good NFL guy!

And now for a word from our starting Quarterback:

quote:

Mettenberger said he could hardly wait for Tuesday (the day after the BCS title game) because "that's when it's my team. It's gonna be like getting a Maserati when you turn 16. I really think our offense can be special."

This is the key. People on this board act like nobody else is worth a damn. You know what....Alabama is likly to have 5 or 6 guys drafted in the first 20 picks......for the math majors that is 1/4. Let's just admit that those guys are really good and played lights out on Monday.

When the Collins kids announced BAMA I looked at my husband and said GOOD. How many of those other HIGHLY HIGHLY recruited guys worked out????

I'd rather a good player that can be developed (I'll duck for those who want to throw things) that might be a 2 or 3 star (um, like Jacob Hester maybe?) than a "superstar" who needs to be talked into coming.

(And fyi I don't typically follow recruiting ... someone drug up an OLD thread about Maurice Clairborn I think it was and what 'the hell is Miles thinking' was pretty much all anyone said ... "wasted a scholly" ... see how that turned out???!!!)

Truth is we had outstanding ST and Defense along with a bottom 1/3 offense. We went as far as we could until the Offense caught up with us.

And it still took the best defense in 30 years to beat us.

This is so true. Even the NC would have been so different if we could have just gotten a few First Downs. Next year is gonna be awesome. Mett is going to tear it up and give us all what we have been dieing for. A team that can score from anywhere on the field.

I said it as soon as the NC was over. If LM uses that game as a learning experience and actually changes some of his tendancies. LSU will be unbelievably good for at least the next 4 years.

The locker room rumor has been debunked by Gordy Rush who was with the team all day long

Look, I love the post, & I'm all for some positivity, but something went down between JJ & T-Bob.

I'm not saying the OL laid down or that there was a huge dustup or anything like that. But please consider that Gordy Rush would not tell you about a fight or dissension in the locker-room.

The reason why is because he has a business relationship with LSU. If you don't think LSU doesn't carry sway, look what they did to WWL. Made one phonecall, & the Cajun Cannon got told in no uncertain terms he'd pipe down permanently.

You aren't going to get any objectivity out of anyone who has a business relationship with LSU that could be affected by them having their name on negative information like that.

Logic should tell you to consider the source. It should tell us all. Rush is the head honcho at Guaranty Broadcasting, which has a very lucrative tie-in with LSU Athletics. They would not do ANYTHING to jeopardize that tie-in.

I am psyched about Mettsiah, really pumped about Freak on the DL & the Secondary next year. But there's a ton of smoke re: JJ/T-Bob.

I'm not saying...I'm just saying...

I don't understand the hate for Bobby Hebert, his son spend 4 years working hard because he loves LSU. What he said was the truth and maybe because of his critizism Miles will play to win and not play favorites. If any of you believe Miles did the right thing on Monday night then we don't have a prayer of ever winning it all. I've always support Miles and always will, but that was discraceful the way he handled the second half of that game. I think Hebert did LSU and Miles a favor by having this outburst!!

Rumbling or two that RR is still reconsidering his decision to enter the draft. I hope he is receiving really good advice. He has until next Wednesday to pull his NFL papers

These two would make me really happy.
