Lebron: I see myself in Tim Tebow

LeBron James has never met Tim Tebow, who has temporarily replaced him as ESPN’s primary obsession.
Still, the Heat forward feels a connection to the Broncos quarterback, who leaves Denver today for a playoff game in New England.
James is in Denver, preparing to take on the Nuggets tonight.
“He’s one of the most intriguing, competitive athletes that we have today,” James said Thursday. “He’s all about winning, and he praises everybody but himself. He’s a very humble guy, and I respect that, all the way back from when I watched him when he was coming off the bench at Florida behind Chris Leak, all the way to him winning the Heisman, winning the national championship, to now starting for the Broncos.”
James could have stopped there, but continued, revealing something that was hardly a surprise.
He sees some of himself in Tebow.
“You know, I’m one of those guys who has been in those shoes before, as well,” James said. “Still in that boat, where a lot of people doubt you, and you’ve just got to try to prove them wrong. So I understood a lot of what he’s going through, what he went through, and it’s good to see him success now. You want to see greatness, you always want to see guys succeed. Especially when people count you out from Day 1. That’s what I love about him. I always tweet about him. He’s always great to watch. I try to catch all the Broncos games when I can, if my Cowboys are not playing.”
He laughed.
“And my Cowboys are not playing now. So I wish him the best.”

Lebron, people have concerns on whether you could be the greatest player in NBA history. People wonder if Tebow should be a starter.

People are going to criticize Lebron for this; however, he is right.
They are both guys that have been criticized too much in the media even though that they both have really never done anything to deserve it on or off the field/court.

Oh I can definitely see Lebron in Tim Tebow. Spot on comparison.
He should follow in Tim Tebows steps as far as PR goes though.

what?
Lebron allowed himself to be publicly fellated when choosing a new team etc. Also, he has gained quite the reputation as a horrible diva who isn't a good person.
Tebow, while early in the process, has had none of these issues.

He should have handled it better, but wasn't that big of a deal when compared to the other stupid shite that goes on in the league. (ex- rape charges, fights, cheap shots, DWIs, other random criminal activity).

Example of what you are talking about. He seems less of a diva than other star players.

Lebron sees himself in everything* because, in his mind, everything revolves around him.
* except 4th quarters and the NBA Finals

Lebron is hating that ESPN is all about Tebow right now instead of him. What better way to get yourself back on ESPN right now than to talk about Tebow.
I can't wait for the SportsCenter infographic comparing Lebron and Tebow with ridiculous arbitrary stats.
