"Les Miles will never lose Less than 2 games."

"Les Miles will never beat Saban again"- said by many after 2009.

"Les Miles will never bring LSU back to Atlanta for the SEC Championship"

"Les Miles Will never win another SEC championship at LSU"- said after 2007.

Many fans on here are doing a great job at starting some more myths that will get proven wrong again.

It is amazing how negative people can be about a team that continues to bring in talent and win at such a high level.

You do know that if Saban didn't attempt 4 stupid FGs in November, all that is still true. Right?

Ok. Let Miles keep proving them wrong. If threads keep getting started about it, you just keep opening doors.

Dude, we just got our asses handed to us in the biggest game in half a century. And there is no denying that Miles was outcoached by a wide margin. It was embarrassing, to be frank. Maybe now isn't the best time to start self-righteous threads about the brilliance of our coaching staff.

Very good point. I have had constant family members say the same thing. We had a great season. Miles made an error not playing JL later in the season. That being said, we don't win an SEC title without JJ being put in on November 5th. I remember Urban Meyer and David Pollack mentioning in the postgame that JJ should be our new starter (strongly disagreed then and now). That being said, this guy continues to defy the odds. Alabama had a great team. They won and no matter how you lost, it never feels good.

Another myth thrown on here is "Recruiting will suffer."

Well, Montgomery, Kiel, Ware were the top players in their state and are still coming to LSU. Winning a championship is a process. You always learn more from a loss and this team (coaches included, will as well/).

Hilarious that you're back to posting so soon after your hero laid a fricking egg in the biggest game in school history.

Les Miles will not ride JJ to defeat. That was my favorite. They thought Miles didn't have some weird attachment.

Hilarious Myths That Many LSU Fans Believed

Why did so many people think those things, though?
Some you can chalk up to just being negative nancies, but certainly not all of the doubt about Miles is undeserved.
Nobody would be thinking those sorts of things if history hadn't given them reason to.

What myths, exactly? Can you name one?

Here is another myth you can't beat a good pass rush without a running QB.

Frustrating loss, but damn strong, strong and elite season.

Miles has now become the 1st LSU coach since 61 to go undefeated in the SEC and the 1st in LSU history to lead LSU to two BCSCGs.

The man just continues to rewrite/own the LSU HC records.

13-1, 9-0 in the SEC, west champs, SEC champs, and BCSCG member...anyone upset with these kinda results is college football mentally challenged.

"Les Miles could never find a way to embarrass LSU footbal than he did in the Ole Miss and Tennessee debacles"

Proved that one wrong too.

I got one more myth. The team could have done worse with Lee or Mett at QB against Bama. How can you score less points than zero? Are there negative points in football?
