The answer to this question is killing me. And I don't want to hear the bs about JJ's legs.

We won't know for a while

JL never asked for the opportunity

Because he throws off his back foot.

Nice investigative reporting, sport.

As long as it was 15-0, I think Les (and me) thought there was always a glimmer of hope... an interception, fumble, kick return for a TD.
I think Les was more concerned that a pick-6 would seal the win for Bama. And frankly, based on Lee's 1st performance against Bama, he had a right to be.
Not playing Lee was part of Les' overly conservative game plan that ultimately cost the game.

I am glad someone finally asked this question. Very unique. :deadhorse:

those who truly know aren't saying, yet.
there is someone who knows, and this information is burning in them like bacon grease.
it will come out eventually.
one guy posted earlier, something to the effect that JL's dad knows what's up, but won't say either. may just be bs like the rest of what we've read.

imo... none of us will really ever know the full truth.
Both JJ and JL are gone. I wish them BOTH well and good luck.
A new QB era is beginning at LSU.

He won't say until he graduates. We will know this summer when he writes a book-"The JJ years and how it cost us a Championship"!

Hopefully, JL gets a book deal soon.

It's simple the reason why is Les is one stubborn sob
Posted on 1/11/12 at 8:00 am to tigerfandtown
there is no good reason. it was exceedingly clear that JJ was completely incapable of doing anything in that game. not trying something else was surrendering. les miles quit on this team.

This is probably very close to accurate. But as it became more and more obvious that Jefferson could not move the offense, any coach in America would have tried Lee (at least for a series).
If anything, Lee has proven in the past that he could come in a provide an offensive spark, especially in the hurry-up offense. It was just buffoonery to not at least try something with Lee.
Les said it was his call not to put Lee in, but I would like to know if Krags or Stud wanted to put Lee in (and if so at what point in the game).

You're gonna be hurting a long time.

Question: why is no one complaining about the poor numbers put up by our stable of RB's?? Answer: Because it's easier to blame the QB. Did anyone see much help from the O-line? They've been great for most of the season but I feel that's more where we lost the game. No running lanes at all, no pocket protection. JL would have been running for his life. We need to get better at defending against Bama's D front. Win that battle Monday and we're all broke buying NC merch today.
