I'll say this... Homicide: Life on The Streets (NBC) was the best thing on TV until The Corner. The Corner (HBO) the best show on TV until The Wire(HBO). All created by the same folks and centered in Baltimore. Was sorry to see them end.

Obvious question:

Avon, Stringer, or Marlo?

Perhaps the best catchphrase in the history of television. Can one word be a catchphrase?

I felt Avon was the weakest one. He was the guy most likely to get caught up in stupid BS that don't matter. Marlo was simply ruthless, but I gotta go with Stringer who took business classes to improve his market position.

Are you taking notes on a criminal fricking conspiracy?

no way, the game is the game. Avon was the only one that embraced it. Strang & Marlo both thought they were above the game & tried to branch out....they got played by the system

Avon always knew exactly where he belonged, which is why he was the better of the three

Just finished the finale. It takes a lot for me to sit and watch a TV Drama and I knocked out the entire series in 2 and 1/2 weeks, the only other series that's made me care about the characters that much is Friday Night Lights.

i started season 1 when HBO had the first few episode up right around Christmas.

I've since finished the first season and am a few episodes into the second one. Most episodes are readily available streaming online.

This show is incredible, and i'm going to finish each season for sure.

*SPOILZIES*

I was a huge fan of Carcetti when he ran for mayor, then before he was even elected it all went to his head and he became what he was trying to fight in the first place.

My only gripe with the serial killer scenario is all McNulty had to do was make the pseudo-reporter be the fall guy if he knew he was making it up.

1. You should put spoiler warnings.
2. That whole story line was the worst part of the whole show. Season 5 as a whole seems more Simon axe grindy than documentary portrayal like the other seasons because of it.
