Ways to kill Wolverine...

1. Rouge takes his powers and then he is killed
2. pump him full of adamantium like that female wolverine chick
would he die if you cut his head off? how well does his healing power work? What are its limitations?

It all depends on who is writing. Wolverine survived and regenerated himself after being caught in the middle of an atomic blast. That is the absolute extreme of his powers. Most of the time, he can regenerate pretty much any wound that he could sustain.
Xavier theorizes that the only way to kill Wolvy would be to decapitate him, remove his head, and take it far away. Even then, if you bring the head back to the body years later, Wolverine will come back.

Actually I once read i a comic book where professor x kept a dossier on how to kill each and every single X-men if they ever went bad. For Wolverine it;s a telepathic bubble around his head making him suffocate.
