It wasn't an article. It was a "Soundoff" segment, much like AlabamaLive does. It was a comment from a poster. The same user, most likely, that first posted that on Penn State's Scout board. That's a quality source there.

Saban to North Korea makes the most sense.

For real player ? Why is there so much love for Saban from "LSU" fans ? Don't get the love.

Penn State: Fox 29 in Philly is reporting Penn State is interested in Eric Mangini. PFT reports no direct contact has been made with Mangini, but there is interest from Penn State

That would be an interesting hire. I thought Mangini had the Browns on the right track during his last year there. They beat the crap out of the Saints and Patriots in back to back weeks. He also built the Jets team that Rex Ryan took to back to back AFC championship games.

This is the equivalent of using a thread on TigerDroppings as a link of proof. This first appeared on Penn State's Scout board.

The first rumors of Saban leaving Miami to go to Alabama didn't come from The AJC or The Birmingham News.

They came from Finebaum.

Which is the internet equivalent of Tigerdroppings.

Why would anyone want to take that job right now?

Best evidence for this theory is that PSU has had the appearance of doing nothing to hire a coach. PSU has had ample time to hire a big name yet has not done so. This is very reminiscent of the situation at Bama when N$ was hire.

This shite is so stupid. Why in the hell would Saban go to Penn State? That's got to be the worst idea imaginable. It makes 0 sense. And don't say money either because Alabama could pay whatever Penn State would actually offer.

But someone wrote a "dissertation" on it, so it must be true.

There is no way in hell that Saban would ever go to Penn State. It's not a traditionally powerful program and it doesn't need to be rebuilt. They can't afford him anyway. Same with Texas...they can't afford him either.

Not saying $aban lands at either place, but it won't be 'cause Texass or PSU lack money. One has a $300 million TV hobby & the other has PLENTY of big $$ donors.

I don't see how any high profile coach would want to go to PSU, that is a disaster of a situation to go into, which is bigger than football.

Think about it. Why would some hack from PennLive do a cut and paste job unless it was getting more likely to happen.

I have to say its funny the way people ask why Saban would leave Bama because he has everything he wants-money, success, status, etc....what all of these people are missing is why would anyone want to live in Alabama if you did not have to.....if he can have all of these wonderful things at some place other than an Alabama shitehole, then why would he not want to go....I mean: Who wants to live in fricking Alabama?

You're going to go with that tired old line? Why would anyone want to live anywhere in southeast? Because contrary to popular belief, the southern states offer many great qualities and amenities that are appealing to those folks that didn't grow up in the region and its culture. Coach Saban has said many times that his time in Louisiana, and now in Alabama, reminds him somewhat of the area he grew up at in West Virginia. I would guess that's why he chose to build a retirement home in rural northern Georgia, on Lake Burton.

I think sexton is just posturing to get N$ a nice raise at the end of the year whether he wins or loses the BCSNC.
