I don't agree. Missouri to the east and A&M to the west as it is now. I want to play bama every year.

I don't agree with moving the divisions around. But I agree with doing away with a permanent schedule.

I would put SEC newcomers Missouri and Texas A&M in the SEC West and bring Vanderbilt over from the SEC East. I would then move Alabama and Auburn to the SEC East so they could continue to play the Iron Bowl every year and so Alabama could continue its annual rivalry with Tennessee. That’s important because
Screw that. It would be an easier league for LSU but it would suck over all. Why not just join the Big-12 if you want that?

I don't think LSU wants an easier schedule or is bothered by playing Florida every year in of itself.
What is complete BS is that we have to play Florida every year to appease Alabama/Tennessee while other teams get easier permanent matchups over it. Why should any university get the short end of the stick to just appease two schools?
Sooner or later Bama and Birmingham will have to choose: current alignment and doing away with Bama/Tenn or realignment making the football West noticeably weaker, for now at least. Because it's not going to stand forever, and LSU isn't the only school that is sick of it.

Sounds like the best solution to me..but yes, the east teams will not let this happen...moving Bama and Auburn to the east,...but it would be a fairer way to deal with the wants of bammers...

Remove the permanent opponent and stager two out of division opponents every two years

Stop and think for a minute,..the odds are we would still play Bama every year, at least every year that matters,..in ATLANTA,...seems the regular season game doesn't account for anything anyway...

I agree with his point of taking the permanent off and adding another conference game. It would not kill LSU to take Idaho, North Texas, or Towson off the schedule. Hell, Washington might even be bad on SOS for next year.

I personally don’t care one way or another. I just don’t like two schools (one who feels entitled, the other stuck in its past) to determine scheduling for an entire league.

I think Mizzou should be in the West simply because of geography. Doesn't make any sense for them to constantly travel to Georgia, Florida, South Carolina. Or for those schools to travel to Missouri. But I don't want our division to fall apart talent wise because these lame arse Big 12 schools want to play with the big boys.

I do not agree, I think Bama to the EAST makes a lot of sense. Besides, it would be great to play Bama in an SEC championship game that way the regular season game means something.

I'm tired of listening to LSU fans bitch and complain about this. When the permanent "cross-division" opponent was established, Florida was historically the seventh (7th) best program in the SEC and was just beginning to become a national power. Who knew they would dominate the SEC throughout the 90's and for parts of the 2000's. Today it might seem "unfair" for LSU to play Florida every year because of what has become of the Tenn. and UGA programs (in comparison to Fla.), but Alabama's permanent opponent (UT) is the 2nd winningest program in SEC history. Auburn's permanent (UGA) is 4th.
The ebb and flow of program success is cyclical. UGA and UT will eventually be great again. UF will have some down years (might be starting right now). Personally, I like the LSU/UF game. As a long-time fan and season ticket holder, I would much rather see that matchup every year, rather than something like LSU/UK

So, Alabama, UT, Florida, Auburn, UGA, and South Carolina would all be in one division, while LSU would only have to really get past Arky and A&M? lol, I like it.

Bama, Ole Miss, Miss st. are the only SEC teams we have played consistently over the years. I want to keep playing them. If any divisions change I would vote for Auburn to go east.

Do away with permanent opponents, SEC is too big now.
Let the east schools pick: either Mizzou in the east (with all the travel) or Mizzou and ______ to the west with Bama and Auburn to the east. The Bama/Auburn rivalry is the only Bama rivalry worth continuing; Bama/Tenn is meh. The only people wanting that really are the Vols, who might slip into obscurity if they can't ride Bama's coattails during the next few years.

I don't want to be in a different division than the Bammers. Playing them every year is nice, and it looks like we are going to continue the trend of beating them consistently for another couple years at least.
That said, Bama and Auburn to the East makes a shitload of sense. That's probably why I don't like it at all.
