should/will spencer ware trim down and become a more dynamic, make-you-miss RB? the guy we saw in the cotton bowl against aggy? just seems like he added too much weight, and didnt look natural as a big bruising back. since hilliard fills that spot better, will ware adjust accordingly?

are you asking if he can do this in a month before the BCSCG? If so...no. Plus, based on what I gathered in my thread asking about Ware's general speed, he's not fast or quick enough to be a "make-you-miss RB".

Ware runs violently. I like it.

Maybe I should reserve judgment...but if I had to have 3 or 4 yards to win a NC...I'd feel better handing the ball to Hilliard. Am I wrong...or has Ware slipped a notch? I'm seein something. Hilliard seems lighter on his feet, and more apt to dodge instead of collide.

IDK that he's slipped a notch. I think, certainly, KH is deserving of more and more carries, but Ware does run violently and it's great to watch.

fnny thing is Ware was a make you miss runner comin out of High school, the type that eludes people, go look at his film. I never saw this blowin people up style of running and shocked the shite out of me, but a pleasant shock.

So does every other rantard. The problem is that his goal is to hit someone, not gain yards. Hilliard has no problem running someone over, but he doesn't fall down while doing it.

Ware is big but not THAT big, to where its a "you know where im going, stop me" type of situation
He also gets put in a lot of no win spots though (stats wise) IMO.

I definitely think Hilliard's emergence likely motivates him either way...whatever that may entail (or the coaches ask).
Regardless, I love having 3-4 legit D1 backs. It's almost not fair

At this point in the season, I'd feel good about giving the ball to any one of our top 5 backs in that situation.

I think SW was getting banged up toward the end of the year. You can alternate KH and SW, but no way change what he does. LSU has owned the end of every game they've played this year. More the merrier.

Ware can't change the type of back that he is. He just has to continue doing what it is that he does best. He is still just a sophmore, so he has plenty time left at LSU.

Ware is arguably the slowest tailback in the country. At the All-American event he attended last January (where he zoomed up to 5-star status on Rivals), his 40-time was clocked over 4.7.

That is slower than Hilliard, Ridley, Scott, Hester, and Broussard.

I sincerely doubt Ware is slower than all those guys. hell, Ridley ran 4.7 at his pro day. at that same AA wknd, Ware also displayed big play ability, so the whole 40 thing didn't slow him down, no pun intended.

i agree. that guy played last year in the cotton bowl. he was dynamic that game. i thought we would see it again this year, but he had bulked up and changed his mentality. im wondering since KH27 is the prototype power back, he'll change back to a more natural size for his ability.

im a big ware fan. as ive stated, i think KH27 should get the "big back" carries, but i dont think SW11 is done being a big factor on this team

the future is bright in BR

If you had to name one thing, just ONE thing, that Bama's chunky 400lb linebackers do well...

To reiterate; my dick isn't very effective vs. fat chicks.

Ware loves to challenge people and hit them head on. Not that he can't try to get around them, he just tries to run them over. If he lost weight I don't think it Wouk help anything at all. Simply not his style.

he didnt do that against aTm

he was spinning off people and looking to break tackles.

True. But his spins always seemed more like the way Richardson bounces off of someone, hit then spin off rather than trying to spin to miss. Just my opinion.

He would never play over the bulls we have back there right now.
