We have no business playing Towson. I can see playing Idaho and North Texas early in the season, but Towson makes absolutely no sense to me. The conference schedule will always be challenging enough, but would be nice to have a couple of decent OOC games.

I dont like playing MSU, the week after Bama. Saw too many John Bond games running all over us i guess.

it will be very hard to get tickets to the A&M game through LSU (7,000) but fairly easy to get them through A&M (85,000) Huge stadium in the middle of nowhere that rarely fills up

I would really like to see the SEC require every member school to play at least one road OOC game every year.

Those yokels will be jazzed for that game. It will be full. You should still be able to get tickets, though.

I know that we cannot just pick and choose where our cupcakes go but, damn. Bunching them up early doens't help anything.
you don't have much choice, the SEC gives you your conference schedule, then you have to fill in the dates. The one option would have been using Sep29 as the open date and getting a cupcake the week before Bama...but I think it's better to have the open at the end of October from a "healing" standpoint.

I was really hoping the conference would have gone to 9 games...

This could be a very tough game for us. We haven't played well the week after the Bama game in a few years

of course the first year I live in Baton rouge we get this shitty arse schedule, save November.

So who did we lose to make room for TAM?

Love it... Another bye before Bama.
And Bama plays Mississippi State the week before they come to Baton Rouge.

I think this is still on the table going forward.

quote:I'm hoping this means that 2012 is just a make-shift schedule, and there is still hope that the LSU/A&M game can become the Thanksgiving week game in 2013 and beyond
The SEC said that the 2012 schedule is not based on any other previous or future scheduling formats. The SEC Athletics Directors will convene in Spring 2012 to begin formulating scheduling principles for the 2013 season and beyond.

Georiga again does not play LSU, Bama and Ark. That's fair.
And South Carolina gets both Arkansas and LSU. Even if USC beats UGA again, UGA may still back into the SEC Championship game again.

Someone buy out North Texas and schedule USC(w)
