Hornets TV contract with COX is a big reason why this team has trouble

filling seats, IMO.
Many of the people have no access to the Hornets. People with Uverse or Charter or Directv cannot get CST. Why the hornets don't see this is beyond me.
Ask around in this area about MLB, and many people in the area will proclaim the Cubs to be their favorite team. Why? WGN, people here have access to almost every Cubs game.
If the Hornets games where always available to all the fans, you would have more people interested in the games. The only Hornets games I ever get to see are the ones I attend, and that sucks. Even in years where I went to 25+ games, I still missed almost 50. This sucks, CST sucks..

Doesnt Charter gave CST now? Also Dish Network has it.

works great for me, but I see your point. Much of the north shore could never get a hornets game. I thought a lot of this has changed though?

Uverse don't have every channel, so your argument is moot. Cst is a channel for a cable provider not just a broadcasting channel. People been requesting cst on uverse for a while. They ain't budging, cox ain't budging either. Oh well.

Is there any word if directv is getting CST? I would have gotten the NBA league pass for the hornets last season, but they black out every game.
I am in Shreveport.

Charter has CST now. Stern has alluded to a new tv contract which is better for the team, although that could just mean more money. They need to do whatever they can to increase the team's exposure, and the contract renewal seems like a good chance for that to happen.

They need to put these games on a local broadcast network if they want this teams fanbase to grow. Unless that happens they will always be reaching for fans.

I'd bet that the Cubbies are the 4th team in NOLA.

okay wrong on that point, but people with Dish and Uverse still can't how about that point?
You have a channel that isn't available to everyone.

Seems like the time to get hornets on directv is now. They are a media partner for the NBA. Leauge should have leverage an regular owner would not have.

I have uverse plus expanded cox cable that I will cancel after the finals just to get hornets games. Its $50 a month. Just skip a few movie channels and it's somewhat affordable.

I'd bet no one watches the cubs and Wgn and/or unless they absolutely have to.

People been trying to grab that for Uverse for at least two years now but nothing... I think they deserving some of the blame too champ. With all of the games on cst this year I bet they'll try to expand further. Still uverse I don't expect anything.

Uverse will blow smoke up your arse and tell you they're getting CST. They're not. Ever. So don't believe them on that. But compared to uverse for everything other than CST, cox blows. If uverse ever gets cox, it will break cox into oblivion.

They don't have cox cable in Shreveport. All I want them to do is stop blacking out games on league pass that aren't available in the area. It is so stupid.
They black out the state of LA when the cox cable coverage is not in NW LA.
I get more Spurs, Rockets, and Mavs games than Hornets games in Shreveport.

Yeah. Especially with the league owning the team the terms for CST renewal should be get it everywhere or no more blackouts of league pass. Win win for the league and Cox can't afford to say no to that.

Honestly someone should lobby against CST being the exclusive provider, because there is no doubt it hurts the coverage the team needs. I had uverse for the last two seasons, and it completely decimated my interest in the team. It may seem trivial on the surface but it's very bad for this team.

I will not make my money available to the HOrnets Until the Hornets make their product available to me on DIrectTV!!! I live 75 miles north of New Orleans and I should be able to catch Hornets away games on DirectTV. If the hornets want to stay with the stupid deal they made with CHarter and turn their backs on other parts of the state who do not have CHarter or DIsh then I say frick em let them go somewhere else!!!
