JJ would not be far behind Kellen Moore if he wouldn't play in the SEC. He might even be better.

Moore carved up the Georgia defense with a bunch of possession receivers who had trouble getting separation. Can you imagine what he'd do if he had Rueben Randle, Russell Shepard and Odell Beckham? On the other hand, give JJ a bunch a slow possession recievers and he would struggle to complete a single pass. If JJ had Moore's CPU, he'd be the #1 pick in the NFL draft. I've heard guys like Mel Kiper say that Moore's CPU is better than Andrew Luck's. His problem is a lack of physical tools.

Moore is a great QB and when he leaves Boise will fall. This year Boise is not the team they were only a season ago due to a drop in the level of receivers that KM has to throw to.

He rarely makes mistakes, can read defenses well, has done a good job of leading his team, and is very accurate with his passes.

I would take Moore of any of the QB's LSU currently has and our offense would become simply explosive. With the constant long ball threat, defenses would look even worse against our power running game.

I would have liked to seen Moore with a running attack like LSU at any time. He would have destroyed people even more so, IMO. I just think the hatred for him is only based off the elitism argument, which doesnt apply to Boise anymore.

Guys like Kellen Moore don't grow on trees but Boise State was winning before he got their. If TCU can survive losing Andy Dalton, why wouldn't Boise State be able to survive losing Moore?

If I remember correctly they think the Freshman this year was better prospect than Moore was or Zabranski. That is high praise.

If true, the possibility of Boise being a true competitor will continue.

I know they started playing him late in the year when they ran some of the Single Wing stuff and in late games.

LSU had the ability to throw the deep ball plenty of times this season. In fact THEY DID throw the deep ball plenty of times this season.

I'm getting pretty damn tired of this sentiment from people who can only seem to remember the offensive performance in the SEC Championship game. Acting like we have no offense.

We have lots of offense. We could have soooooo much more though. How many dropped passes, over/underthrown balls, and bad QB decisions have we indured? How many playmakers did we recruit and keep in our stables on Offense.

Connect the dots my friend a better QB with bette decison making would result in a more powerful Offense.

what the hell will they do next year against Oklahoma and Texas?

Is this a serious question?

Are you people getting so stupid you now apply the transitive property to the next season?

The More Sports boad has this reputation around here as having intelligent discussion, and a lot of it is. But the kind of bullshite in this thread finds it's way into all of the threads all the time.

Its like people think this is physics, where there are certain imutable laws or something. Team A is better on paper than team B, so they should win by margin X or more every time. Real life doesn't work that way. There are a million different varibles that lead to team performance and the difference in talent is not as stark as people think. But people think in zero sum terms, La Tech sucks, so if someome doesn't beat them badly, then that team sucks too. Its biazzare.

TCU was in the Rose Bowl last year, maybe they didn't give a frick about being in the Pointsetta Bowl? That shite happens all the time. The game against La Tech last night means nothing and tells you nothing about what they will do in the future.

Dear god, do you not understand the role motivation plays in games, especially bowl games.

TCU will be fine in the big 12

In my opinion they will look like la tech did against them.
This is how I predict their season to go.
1st 3 or 4 games of the season play everyone close losing games in the 4thquarter. However because of the talent drop off between the 2nd string of tcu and the other teams in the big 12 they will be forced to play there starters more than they should, causing them to be tired and more open to injuries.
This will compound through the year. And by the end of the year they will be losing games to bad teams.
I expect they will win 2 games they shouldn't and lose 3 or 4 they should win.
Long term they will recuit and fill in quite nicely for a&m on a winning basis.
I predict 7-5 next year depending on OCC schedule. With most of there wins coming in the first 8 games.

Based on the number of recent NFL draft picks, TCU's talent is on par with the best teams in the Big 12. Winning the Rose Bowl has helped them get into living rooms they couldn't get into before. And in case you didn't know it, last year Texas was the only Big 12 school with a bigger football budget than the Horned Frogs.
