Wasn't "looking to move" - They already had. The Big XXII move was made just prior to that game.

Not to mention this game was a much bigger deal to Tech. This was their first bowl since 08 and arguably the best/most prestigious one in school history. Meanwhile, TCU just won the Rose last year.

I hate Boise and think if they were in a BCS conf (besides the Big East) they'd be brought down to earth, but stop acting like a win on the smurf turf isn't a "quality win".

the last decent team to play on the smurf turf was oregon in 2009. i don't consider that a quality win

I bet LSU would struggle in Boise, if it's so easy to win there why won't people go and shut them up?

are you implying that boise is just as difficult to play a game in as BDS? not to mention we were playing the second best team in the country over there...

And what happened to Oregon that game?
The reason why Boise wouldn't do well in a BCS conference is because of depth and not being able to gameplan/build up for a big game for a month because they're no longer playing teams like Idaho and Wyoming for long stretches of time. But in a one-game scenario, they are very good and have been consistently for the past 5+ years (including between the hedges this year). To beat them in Boise is impressive. If you're going to argue beating a three-loss team at home is a quality win, then I will argue providing a team their only loss on the road is, as well, even with the difference in schedule.

It could be, since Boise matches up different than Bama does. That is what you don't get, Boise does more offensively than Bama does. There's a reason they beat people, it isn't due to luck or poor competition.

Not sure I'd classify Texas as elite at the moment. And OU is bound to blow it against someone

I would take Boise's QB and WR over Bamas the last three years.

Every LSU fan would kill for Kellen Moore as QB for the Tigers, don't be foolish.

JJ would not be far behind Kellen Moore if he wouldn't play in the SEC. He might even be better.
