Just FYI from what I read here... LINK

Highly sought Columbus East senior quarterback Gunner Kiel said he plans to have a college decision made by Christmas, with LSU, Notre Dame or Vanderbilt the likely finalists.

Kiel, who accepted The Indianapolis Star Indiana Mr. Football trophy at Tuesday's Columbus North-Columbus East boys basketball game, said he wanted to make an announcement there but "couldn't make a decision."

"It'll be a gut feeling," said Kiel, who was at one time committed to Indiana. "It's been a very hard decision."

The 6-4, 215-pound Kiel passed for 2,517 yards and 28 touchdowns as a senior and rushed for 482 yards and 11 TDs.

Kiel said he has no more college visits planned and that he'd "sit down with my family and make a decision soon." Columbus East students chanted "LSU" as Kiel accepted the trophy.

This would be huge. Miles would be basically suring up the position most people have a complaint with him about.

Rankings are good, but you need coaching. Texas and teams like fsu have out recruited us over the years. I wouldnt trade what he have for any of those programs.

In my opinion, those schools have not outrecruited us. Recruiting rankings mean nothing. Our coaching staff evaluates guys independently and only offers the guys that they believe will be good for our program. In that regard, our coaches have done a much better job of recruiting than Texas and FSU in my opinion. You don't judge a recruiting class based on what Rivals.com and Scout.com say about it. You judge a recruiting class based on how many of the players produce once they actually make it to campus.

I agree. However, if we lose out on the big names that we know we want then that is not a good thing.

Have you watched our team play this season? I have never seen a more-talented team across the board than this year's LSU team. In addition, we have a huge number of Frosh and Soph players making a huge impact.

I think it could be argued that no one has out-recruited LSU over the past 5 seasons. there have been teams that have a higher recruiting ranking, but none of actually recruited better.

My dad sent me a link that got posted on The Tiger's Lair. It was some Michigan recruiting expert saying Keil to LSU.

The only problem was he was also citing Joubert as his source. Looks like it's gone viral.
