Anybody got anything yet on this?? Where to go, good atmosphere, safe location, cold beer? What you got?

I've been wondering the same thing.

Can anyone confirm the city is still standing, and withstood the raping and pillaging by the Red ULL Plague over the weekend?

There will be hundreds of bars showing. As it gets a little closer, you will hear about some of the parties that are being organized.
In the Warehouse District, the good places are Lucy's(they will probably project game on side of building next door), Gordon Biersch bar area, Ernst Cafe, Rusy Nail.
Of course Walk On's and Happy's is nice, but it will be a cluster.
The Hyatt has an upscale like sports bar, but I'm sure you will have to reserve spots to this.
Cooter Browns and The Bulldgog on Canal are good if you don't wnat to be downtown.
In the quarter, just walk around and look into bars until you see something you like. The game will be on and a good time will be had every where.

Check out Tigerblockparty.com. There's also a big Game Day tailgate in the same lot as the block party on Jan. 8; another one being planned but details not available yet.

I hope we can sticky this post at the top of this and one at the top of SEC Rant. I'm heading down and I'd love to know where I can watch the game at close to Bourbon St. I can remember when we played OU a lot of us was inside the theater on Canal St. Nice environment, still got all of it on DVD.

Walk-Ons is having a 3 Day block party at the corner of Poydras and Rampart. $30 for a 3 day pass. A different band each day.
