It is working out for me. I know there are Tiger fans that believe what I do.
I guess that is just the Libertarian mindset I have. I am not going to tell anyone what they can and can't do with their own personal property.
If you want to sell your tickets at a profit. Good for you. If you want to roll them up and smoke them, more power to you.
If it doesn't affect me personally and it doesn't cause any harm to another person that is incapable of defending their own person, then I could give a shite less what anyone else does. Live and let live! Geaux Tigers!

Ummm...I agree with you politically, but I think you are probably arguing with a bunch of dumb kids posting in jest. Just saying....

This is actually EXACTLY what those little Liscense agreements we all skip through read.

As I said earlier, I will do what I want. If I want to sell them, I will. And they will go to the highest bidder, regardless of their team loyalty.
Green is the only color I care about in that scenario.
And how do I know who the person buying them is going to cheer for, or what they are going to do with them. I could sell them to an LSU fan who could turn around and sell them to someone else, or use them to bring a Bama friend to the game. I don't care.

I say all the better if you fleece some BAMA fans. Take their money and the crystal football at the end of the game.
Hell no

LSU fans who have tickets to the game and have no reason not to go and sell them to Bama fans simply for financial gain can go jump in traffic as far as I am concerned.

I can't agree with this assertion. Scalping tickets in the LSU sections of the Superdome can, in fact, cause definable harm to others:
(1) Individuals who indiscriminately sell tickets in the LSU section to Alabama fans have the potential to ruin the game experience for the LSU fans who faithfully attend the contest. It's generally unpleasant to have to sit near an opposing fan during a game of this magnitude and be forced to endure their cheering, taunting, and hostility;
(2) LSU fans who sell their tickets to Alabama supporters erode the vocal support that the LSU football team will benefit from in the Superdome;
(3) LSU boosters who requested BCS NC tickets that they had no intention of ever using deprived other LSU fans with fewer priority points of the opportunity to attend a historic game. In order to selfishly generate a profit, such individuals appropriated tickets that might have otherwise gone to LSU fans who would actually attend the event and support the team.
I am sensitive to the very poor economic climate that pervades the nation at this time. I understand that there are certain LSU fans who simply must sell their tickets at a profit in order to pay daily living expenses or help provide for families. I have no quarrel with those people. However, most sellers don't fall into that category, in my experience. Rather, they are typically fairly affluent individuals or corporations who knowingly requested more tickets than they could use simply so that they could then turn around and gouge buyers on the free market. That's avaricious and unseemly.

I think this is the best post I've ever read on the rant (that didn't have hot chicks).

I don't fault people for doing what they do with their tickets, it just sucks to see what it has turned into. Some people have a genuine love for the school and the team and will work their asses off to be there to support them. Others only see the game as an investment. In a lot of cases type 2 gets tickets ahead of type 1 knowing they can use type 1's "want" to attend the game to their advantage.

My friend sold his to raise money for his kid that has cancer. I honestly don't have an issue. its a free market and people can do whatever they choose.

Who's selling more tix? Bama or LSU?
Posted on 12/15/11 at 5:13 pm to Meaux Bettah
Money comes and goes but witnessing an Alabama beat down in person will be a lifetime memory and that is the karma that's coming. Geaux tigers!

It pisses me off when this is done. It seems that Bama has an extraordinary number of fans in Tiger Stadium when they play here. True fans would not sell tickets, especially to someone other than a TIGER!

The ticket prices transcend fandom unfortunatly. When you're talking a few G's it's a different deal IMO. You should STFU abotu judging people and how they handle their money.
That said, if they sell to Bama fans, then yeah, they should DIAF.

Just employ the can newton strategy. Try to sell them to tiger fans for a discounted rate, then jack some stupid Gump's ticket price through the roof.

Tickets reservations before the Bama game were $175 plus $30 in fees. Then they charge you $330 to buy it at face value.
Selling for $1000 doesn't even net $500 yet they took lots of risk. If LSU lost to Bama it would have been difficult to make it to the ship.
I don't fault them. Wish I had the nerve then.
