Man.....just reading it brings me back!!!
How awesome is it to be a Tiger fan during this time and see where we were.
To step back and see how this year has gone, win or lose you just have to shake your head in disbelief.

I disagree. The blocked punt at the end of the 1st half vs. Ole miss in 2001 was the biggest. This was a huge play in the game and Saban was booed loudly at halftime and lsu eventually lost for being ultra conservative on offense. After this game, saban allowed jimbo to open up the offense and lsu became one of the best teams in the country and for the first time in a long time became a major factor nationally.

I would give my left nut to have Rohan under center on Jan.9

I remember it well. Lee to Randle against Alabama deep in Tiger territory late in the game at home in 2010 is another more recent accomplishment along those lines. The 1st down TD pass in O.T. by Davey was the icing on the cake. Good memories.... Geaux Tigers.

I have to agree with lsumatt. His point is not what was the best play of the last 10-11 years, but what was THAT play that was the turning of the corner. The exact play when we left the dark ages of Archer - Hallman - Dinardo and started becoming the modern LSU Tigers.
That play after which we didn't know who we were anymore, but we liked where we were going.

Thanks. It was fun watching it again. I agree. To be able to throw the ball. Imagine that.

Glad that you mentioned that, because I'd forgotten about that play. Another thing was, Rohan takes a big hit just as he's throwing the ball, making that play just that much tougher. Not only did that conversion avoid the possibility of Tenn. getting a chance to win in regulation, it would ultimately lead to the Tigers having one (though the potential game winning FG was blocked.)
To be honest, up until that game, I'd had my issues with RD. He'd looked bad in some games he was in up until that point...but he made me a believer that night.

Nothing against JJ and JL, but if Rohan was QB now, OMG, LSU would be unstoppable!

Great times! I was there and I'd have to agree with you. That win led the way to many more great wins (along with rushing the field) that brought so much more overall excitement to Tiger Stadium than had been seen in generations. We had some great wins before Saban (Dinardo's win over #1 Florida comes to mind) but none had really elevated us to a higher level of expectation.
Saban may be a douchebag but we've got a lot to thank him for. I'll always respect what he did for our program but I don't have to like the man.

I thought it was when Xavier Carter knelt on the 1 yard line
