I once intercepted a pitch in playground ball and returned it for a TD. So me and TM7 will always have that bond.

Tyrone and wife are class acts - Tyrann is young and we will see him become a man in the next 2 years at LSU. It's hard to believe he'll go early with his size.

7th ward. I got to work in the 7th ward last year. Different world down there. For tm7 to be where he is is unbelievable.

His biological mom and step dad were hanging out by the locker room after the Florida game this year. She was wearing a #7 jersey with "Honey Badger's Mom" on it. She was very nice to the fans who asked her questions - she's extremely proud of him but was also a bit humbled by the attention. She and her son spoke comfortably for a while after he came out of the locker room. The trainers and athletic staff spoke to her about his schedule, some national interviews he had done, and gave her some new promo photos of him and programs. It would appear that they do have a good relationship/are in each other's lives. She says she has five children; Tyrann is her second. She has a high schooler who plays football as well. She also talked about her job, FWIW.

Hopefully whatever prompted him to live with his relatives is in the past, and maybe now he gets the best of all worlds: he had the stability and strong parents he needed when he was growing up, but he can still have his mom in his life as an adult.

She was most humble at the Florida game when we saw her on the sidelines (outside of the fence) ... took my picture with her and she seemed shocked.

Very glad to see that he's got what seems to be a relationship with her and I'm very glad that he's been loved and taken care of by good family members.

FWIW his Aunt told me in late Sept that his little brother was a better athlete ( I told her that was hard to believe) AND he wanted to play for LSU in a few years.

So, Bring on the Mini Badger!

Having two positive role models who instill proper values and work ethic will make all the difference in world. Most kids in that area are lucky if they have one decent role model.

Thanks a bunch for sharing that video. The Matthieus seems like great parents who brought Tyrann up in a loving home. I really enjoyed watching that; they sure looked upset about the synthetic drug use. He does seem like a different person now. Hope his success continues.
