What about Paul Hornung

Heisman
#1 overall draftpick
NFL MVP
NFL HOF
CFB HOF

Interesting choice. Per Wiki, his first year playing for ND was his sophomore season (1954). That would make him a freshman in '53 when ND shared the National Championship with Maryland (AP) and Oklahoma.

It does not say whether or not he was on the team his freshman year, though (I'm still looking, but I would assume he was). And it was not a consensus National Championship.
