for them to be in the Title game if OSU wins? He took a soft approach leading up to this game. What do you guys think?

he should have been pushing already, but he did not have faith in his team

If this game continues as it is, very hard. Very simple. We know Bama is preceived to be better, we made a statement tonight and Bama had their chance, we want ours.

He has faith, he's a MAN....MORE THAN 40!!!
He handled this perfectly. If OSU wins big, he'll be very loud, and it'll make his quietness last week even more effective.

He should have been pushing before but it could have been a big distraction for a must win game. He hasn't beaten OU since he's been there so maybe it was the right call on his part.
Doesn't help that ESPN is trying to dictate.

IMO, it was definitely the right call on his part. Keep his team focused, whip arse, THEN come out and make a case.

Yea, but his silence and OWN qoute "I would vote Bama number 2..."* Have not helped the ESPN Bama hype machine. I mean he gave them ammo. He played it safe, and it could cost them.
*at this point

this one time I heard that he was a man and that he was 40. true story.

He said ..."right now". He set himself up for the campaigning perfectly, provided they win. If they win BIG, as it appears they might, it will make a big impact.

I donno, Saban was all over the place between College Gameday and the CBS pregame on his soap box, OK State needs to keep the pace up now and hope that VA tech loses....hopefully Ok State's actions will speak louder than Saban's words today

Yea, "*" means note, which I posted at the end "*at this point." Which is the same thing the media is doing, taking it out of context.

Like they just talked about during the game, he puffed up the SEC, when he should have been puffing up oSu. Pete Carroll, Nick Saban, Les Miles, never saw them backing away from how good their teams were.
He played it safe, and it could cost him.
eta: fwiw, I think they should get in, and hope they do get in. BUT, if they don't, I think his lack of advocacy is partly to blame.
