Agreed. I don't know how they let that shite happen. That's by far the worst thing about that side.

Whoever LSU's marketing/design person is, needs to be fired.

From Toonces to this..

Please tell me we are taking down the Toys R' Us TIGER STADIUM sign. I feel like they hire some lady with a marketing degree and she google's "what's cool now-a-days?" Then shoves it down the fans throats.

They will be deciding on the SE expansion after the MNC game. Word is combo of suites/clubs will wrap east to west. Upper seating will not wrap all the way to west side. Total capacity will remain slightly less than 100k.

You can take from it what you want. It's just what I heard. Another poster said here it was already under construction contract.

Personally will be surprised if they leave a gap in the bowl. Also surprised it's going to stay less than 100k

LSU accepted a bid to add to the south end zone from Lemoine company. $65000000.

I'm an estimator and haven't seen the public bid released for it, nor have I heard of any GC's doing budgetary numbers for an expansion. Who told you that because it's not true. LSU cannot conduct private bids since it is a state institution.

Only improvements need to be restrooms, concessions, and remodeling the southside to looks like the north with the arches. Maybe clean up some of the concrete. But as far as putting up stupid arse plazas and shite is just a waste of money.

All I see in here that isn't there already are a bunch of purple & yellow flags and a sign that says "Tiger Stadium".

Completely new entrance gates and fence on the west side and what looks like at the student section entrance.

Leave it to LSU fans to complain about improvements, I only hope this sit doesn't represent the majority of the fan base. 12-0 and there is constant bitching, improving the stadium and there is bitching

My thoughts on the stadium. We need to put significant money into the entire stadium. From renovating the bathrooms, to powerwashing the entire interior and seating area, and adding luxury seating on the south side. We don't actually need anymore general seating, because I don't believe demand is there for that. But we do need more suites/stadium club seats for revenue. I hope that when they move forward with this in a short time they make the south side aesthetically pleasing on the outside. They should stay in keeping with the arch looks throughout the entire stadium.

And I think we should do away with the current location of the jumbotrons and have four in the entire stadium on the sides of each upperdeck. Or have a new jumbotron across the north side, and have two in the corner of the south when they build additional suites.

Overall, LSU/TAF needs a masterplan and the focus needs to be more on cleaning up the interior at this point.

Thats what I'm saying. TAF is using funds to improve outside aesthetics of TS and this thread is 70% replies bitching about how terrible it is.

Even if it's an astronomical figure, there needs to be a long-term plan outlining everything that needs to be done to the stadium, the phases it will be done in, and the money/donations it will take to reach each individual phase.

If we do that, I think you would see a flood of money directed at the TS improvements. As it stands, LSU/TAF have plans that don't appear long-term from a donor standpoint IMO. I realize they have more plans and know more about what's going to happen than we do, but I believe that having multiple architectural renderings presented to fans, costs associated, etc. it would give people some understanding of exactly where and to what their money is going.

Everything is about football. And while we have built a lot recently and have a lot left to payoff, we need to start planning on the improvements for a structure that will be here for eternity. Look at Michigan, look at Tenn, etc. They have these long-term phased in plans and we need one.

Yeah I do actually. And you can claim that the demand for season tickets is "x" and that's fine and all but I'm at all of the games and I can understand the demand for tickets. And it's not there in my mind outside the bigger SEC games per year. I would rather a full TS every Saturday night than an upper deck that looks sparsely populated unless it's a big game, even if those seats are paid for by someone.

Well you probably wouldn't know it but they already added a new jumboton on the north side but most of it is ads so it's hard to tell. But I was actually thinking of the same thing concerning the south side. I think it would be cool if they added two jumbotrons between the east and west uppers, similar to what Alabama has
