Statement from Alleva re: ineligibility

“Despite media and message board speculation, no LSU student-athletes have been declared ineligible for post-season competition. The current semester is not complete and finals are still ahead, so it is grossly unfair to our student-athletes and it is both premature and irresponsible to speculate on the final grades and postseason eligibility of our student-athletes.”

Guilbeau needs his credentials yanked.

Guilbeau will still spin this negatively somehow.

He never had any!

I don't understand how someone can be ruled academically ineligible when they haven't even taken finals yet.

Where are Beefense, OBUDan and the rest of the retard brigade to eat their crow?

Guilbeau really deserves to be censured for this.
Of course, I'd feel better if Alleva stated that he didn't anticipate anyone being declared inelligible.
P.S. When are finals? I presume that, no matter what, this issue can't impact the SECCG if finals are after the game in Atlanta?

He is right, but the bold print says it all. I'm sure a few athletes, just like probably any other year, need to pull thier shite togeather.

Gillebeau should be declared "persona non grata" at LSU, put a restraining order of 100 miles off the team

Unless he gets to grade the exams and assign grades how would this reassure you of anything?
If he said such a thing it would probably be taken in a negative manner regarding academic integrity.

Never said he was declared ineligible yet but he is definitely having academic issues. The statement by Alleva proves nothing. i stand by what I have been saying since I heard about it from someone that would know these things.

Of course that would raise the red flag of people thinking he would preemptively know what student athletes' grades would be before they've been issued.
Statement he released was the smartest one possible.
