We beat them at BDS, we will beat them in the dome. I think the speed advantage is going to show more on the turf.

im not sure that is accurate. I remember statophiles coming up with stats saying the team that won the first one wins the second one during lsu-geo and al-florida champ games.

CAN we ?=yes we have the ability

Will we? Yes we have the "want"

Should we? The history and stats indicate we wil

Is it possible to lose? yes

Is it probable we will lose? no

Sometimes we get the wrong answer because we ask the wrong question

we won in their stadium on crappy grass with a hostile crowd....

New Orleans will pretty much be a home game and on turf...track meet bitches...

we all saw that goin to the outside is the way to beat Bama...

LSU will win in a more convincing fashion and further solidify their place as one of the greatest teams EVER in CF

If we beat Alabama in T-town, I don't know why we wouldn't

Speed advantage will be better on the turf. It won't be an easy game by any means, but there's no reason why LSU shouldn't win.
Les with a month to prepare = win

I don't have the numbers or the time to look them up, but it sure seemed like LSU somewhat bottled up Richardson in the 2nd half. At least much more than in the 1st half. Almost like the chief figured out a tweak and it worked.

I would expect Saban to figure out a tweak to stop the option as well.

The thing that makes me feel good about this 2nd time around is that Jefferson has been showing a steady improvement (finally) over the last half of this season, whereas McCarron still looks the exact same. This was talked about on the radio yesterday. The Bama you've been seeing all season long is what you're gonna see in New Orleans. LSU has opened up the passing game even since the 1st LSU/Bama game.

I thinks we should beat "what seems to be the second team in the nation", the question is why should they get another chance? The have a terrible special teams, they are not effective in offense (they outgained us in yards but did not get the points). I hope the voters compare accomplishments bamer vs oki st and see if they won their conference, how did they loose (oki st lost by a field goal in ot I belive), etc. If they do that then I'm ok with who they pick. It would be fair to the players and it would be fair to our team.

hell yes, all we need to do is get JJ running the option. if nicky has figured out a way to stop that then we bring the 2012 qb Met and let him do his handoff to the running backs. then when they load up the box randle or obj burns them with the deep pass. Met spent all season watching and learning and carrying the clipboard, time to see what he can do.

since they do not think we beat them the first time, then it is easier, yes?

Several reasons we win,

1.Our boys will hear that Bama is better for weeks on end, they will hear how we got "lucky" and you will see a pissed off fired up team.

2. Superdome- we are a fast team that will play the Tide on turf this time and in front of our crowd.

3. QB play- last time AJ played above his head and our QB play was less than stellar. Two bad int's not caused by the defense, but by terrible decisions on our part.

4. Coaching- Miles always has the team prepared after a long layoff and Saban doesn't always have his team ready to play.

I just realized something that might have been obvious to everyone else.

If LSU beats UGA and then loses to Bama, we would have 1 more win than Bama on the season, the conference championship, the same number of losses, and be tied in head-to-head matchups. Surely that can't happen.

It would be like if the NFL made the highest seeded team play in the 1st round and gave lower-seeded teams a bye.

We can beat any team they throw at us. Especially with miles having a month to prepare. Just glad it's in the dome and we dont have to worry about another fricking mud bowl.

i think the rematch favors bama ever so slightly. its tough to beat the same team twice especially when they are so evenly matched.

What Bama showed on offense is all they are capable of. The only success they had was to TR out the backfield, which can bd solved. All Miles has to do is watch the tape and see how successful the option was and toss sweeps. Bama can't stop that. The reason why.....see below

Saban is dangerous with the talent he has with 30+ days to prepare
