LSU Atlanta Fan Guide - Downtown and Buckhead Places to Meet

The Atlanta alumni chapter once again has set up fan-friendly places to meet and greet in both Buckhead and Downtown.
Buckhead Saloon is a regular game vieiwng location in the heart of Buckhead. Jimmy Ott will do his Friday show there and we will raffle off 2 primo SEC Championship tickets and Tigermania fan gear around 10:30 Friday night.
Sidebar is our fave spot downtown, just three blocks from CNN Center/Ga. Dome. Best bar prices for miles. Trivia Contest with giveaways Friday night featuring the Evil Twins. Best pregrame and postgame party spot. Try the $5 "General Sherman's DamnStrong Tea" in a tall glass featuring Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka (co-founded by an LSU alum.)
LSU ATLANTA SECCG FAN GUIDE - LINK HERE
Please share the link with your friends. Don't get clipped by places that don't care about LSU after fans leave town. All of our partners are donating to LSU Atlanta to help us finish our LSU Eye of the Tiger specialty license plate program in Georgia. Thanks in advance for coming to party with us!

"General Sherman's DamnStrong Tea"
LOL. Wonder what would happen if one of our fans dressed as Sherman and started yelling "Burn this mutha down!" outside of the Ga. Dome?
Probably an azzwhuppin' from indignant Dawg fans.
I'll be downtown Saturday. Will have to get one of those teas.

That place in Dallas (Lizard Lounge) was understaffed and overwhelmed...

Chicken, no fear. I gave them the 4-1-1 and they called back yssterday and said they will have a fully loaded Bud truck parked in the alley.
They also said they will staff up for Friday night and bring in reinforcements on Sat. if Friday turnout is big.
No worries. These guys are pros and this will be the 3rd time we've partnered with them.

Good deal...we may try to go there on Friday...not sure if I will be wearing my chicken outfit. It is still at the cleaners in Omaha.

(Pssst! If you hear about a $30 Buckhead pub crawl, be advised that there are normally no cover charges at most Buckhead bars so you aren't really getting much for that ticket. Come to Buckhead Saloon and be part of the LSU celebration.)
Went on the pub crawl the Friday before UNC. Very weak. We'll be partying @ the Saloon this time.

Is there any sort of LSU alumni parti on Friday night? I know in the past their have been some epic events in 05 and 07.

Yeah, the mgt.at Saloon thinks those are a bad deal. They suggest you are beating cover charges and hardly anyone in Buckhead charges a cover any more.
See ya there.

The places listed in the Fan Guide are the alumni's official party locations. For bowl games and the kickoff classics we can set up street parties and concert parties like we partnered with at the Tabernacle before the N. Carolina game last year. But for SECCG there isn't much time to plan.
We also have been advised the chapter cannot "host" parking lot tailgates due to potential liability issues. Modern life sucks, but that's the reality with running a nonprofit chapter.
We have set up fan friendly gathering places in both Buckhead Friday and downtown all weekend to welcome you guys. Hope to see you at one of them.

Oh that's cool. I just remember 2005 Friday night before the game being an epic event at this 3 story building kind of place with mahogany wood everywhere with a great live band and the beer and women flowing like birds to capistrano. Half of Baton Rouge was in the house that night and it seemed like an incredible event and a great idea for an Alumni event.
I wanna say it was off peachtree maybe just north of downtown but it's been 6 years so I couldn't tell ya. Idk how they pulled that off so fast back then but if they could again, I'm pretty sure we would all pay good donation money for something that awesome.

Actually not, that was East Andrews around the corner. Buckhead Saloon is on Roswell Rd., one level with a large patio area on the street. They are putting up a tent there to make it more comfortable for overflow. Circular bar so plenty of space to belly up.
