Anyone ever build a wooden Pirogue?

I built one off of there. Not a pirogue, but a small rowboat that you dould row or push pole. It was sweet. I sold it though.

They even have a couple of free plans on there, like for a 14 flat bottom canoe that could pass for a pirogue. https://www.bateau2.com/free/cheapcanoe.htm

I've always wanted to, but I suck at woodworking. I've been practicing on some projects and am getting better, but I don't think I have the precision to build a pirogue yet.

I have a cypress pirogue my grandfather built 30 yrs ago. I have been hunting with it for the last 25 yrs. Up till the last 4 years I hunted out of it everyday of the season, transporting 2 sports & a dog from the mud boat to the blind. Just sand it down & a fresh coat of paint every 3-4 yrs & she is like new.

A couple of rville guys built one when I was a kid. Idk what happened to it.
