seriously, notiger1997 where do you live that you can pay 50 bucks a month for a "country club"? bet that place is disgusting.

Most nice neighborhoods have a nice pool included as part of the HOA dues. Many times pool access can be added for around $50.

Don't be a dumbass. I used the phrase country club because that is what they actually call it.

It is a swim club with two tennis courts and a small gym area. I did double check my info and it was $575 up front to join and is $58 a month, which is more than enough to keep the trash out and provide us with a nice place. It backs up to the levee by Lake Ponchatrain near Bucktown in Metairie. It also has a small bar and a pretty good snack bar. Good enough for me.

I do respect those that want a pool and have lots of friends who got new $40K and up packages in their backyards. I enjoy the hell out of theirs, but am glad it is not mine to take care of and pay for.
