Who's watched the Old War Skule DVD?

I watched the other night - here's my take:
(1) Excellent watch - albeit 3 hrs long so make time for it
(2) Cholly Mac = Les Miles (it's uncanny)
(3) Huey Long was a pimp
(4) Wished they would have discussed "Death Valley" name for TS and its' origins
(5) With all of the talent we have had, it's somewhat unbelievable that we didn't win a NC between '58 and '03
(6) Good to see Dinardo credited (and rightfully so) for the good that he did in bringing back the magic to LSU football
(7) Saban was portrayed as very genuine and his fondness of LSU is obvious
(8) Les CANNOT dance
It's a great watch - must see for every Tiger fan

I enjoyed the hell out of it. Next thing you know I look up and 3 hours had passed.
I do think Goodman was beyond cheesy in some parts though.

Haven't finished it yet... it took a while for it to get going IMO.

Loved it. Very long but didn't mind

Can someone tell me if this DVD is subtitled or closed captioned? Would it make a good gift to a deaf, extremely hard of hearing person who relies on reading what's being said?

I watched it over the Thanksgiving holiday. I enjoyed it very much, however here are some of my criticisms:
It was probably a little too long (but not a big deal when your talking about watching LSU related stuff)
As much as I like John Goodman as an actor, his lines were definitely over the top cheessy--of course blame the guy who wrote the script.
I was disappointed that there wasn't more behind the scenes info on Mike the Tiger.
There were way too many dizzingly overhead shots of Tiger Stadium, after awhile I thought they were just looping the same footage over and over.
Think they were too kind to Curley Hallman.
These are somewhat minor complaints. I would definitely recommend any LSU die-hard fan should watch it.

Thought I was watching the History of the Golden Band from Tiger Land. I didn't mind, I remember when they filmed a good bit of the footage with us last year and this DVD will be awesome to watch years down the road to remind me of the good times I had at LSU.
