Regarding Owee-o

Was it banned because the student section simply said "You suck?" I have always heard it was because they added a word during a USCe game and it stuck, but I can't ever remember hearing the "rooster" reference from in the student section. Just curious if there was ever any type of reasoning

I mean, I've seen that before. I'm aware that that happened against USCe, but I really never thought it was all that prevalent other than that game
