Much less their conference. What a joke. Bama should be in the Sugar... Maybe.

This is a dumb argument.

The bcs was never meant to only match conference champions. Should it? Maybe. But it's not.

There is actually a provision that NEITHER team has to win their conference (if we lost to uga and OU beats osu, the championship wi feature two non-conference winners playing each other). That's the only way that a conference could have three teams in bcs bowls (if 1 and 2 are both not conference champs from the same conference).

It's also retarded to think that the two best teams in the country could never be same conference or division. It's definitely the case this year.

They are head and shoulders better than the other options.

I don't want to play them, but only because I know that's the only team that can sniff our jockstrap.

I agree however, we already played them.

I can't say this enough, the human voters will go with another viable option if it's available.

OSU has had a computer average of #2 most of the season.
The computers have loved the Big 12 this season.
Combine that with the human voters putting a one loss big 12 champ in the game rather than a team that we've already played and beat in their house.

Bottom line is if there's another option, the voters will choose that.

That's the system we have.

I just despise Bama and Saban. Nothing logical about it. 'Not scared of 'em. I just don't want them to enjoy recognition or success.

I agree with that.

I saw this from another poster in another thread, sums it up pretty good:

quote:

If a one loss team is going to play LSU, why should it be the team that LSU has already beaten? Shouldn't another team deserve ONE shot at LSU? LSU should play a team that we haven't already beaten AND that is the best in THEIR conference.

Consider that if we had a playoff a team could end up #3 in their division (ala Arkansas) and still win a national championship. Happens all the time in basketball.

And if okie state wins out the will play in the nc. They are #2 in computers now with a top 10 game left to play.

The rule that allows 3 teams in the BCS implies that neither team playing for crystal needs to be conference champs.

No it shouldn't and this season proves it. If UGA would win next Saturday, who would play for the title?

This week's #1,#2,#3,#6,& #7 along with either #4 or #9 wouldn't have won their conference & #5 would have to beat a team they lost to by 20 points @home to win theirs.

It makes the regular season game meaningless. There should never be rematches. Ever.

Bama is in the championship.

Danielson told the world how to vote on the polls and the Heisman.

It's a done deal.

Our defense made there O-Line quit last time. Look at the 4th quarter and at the OT. Bama OL was done. This time you will see a healthy dose of M. Ford and we will use our superior speed to blast them.

Maybe, but what about all the talk that we don't need a playoff system because we already have one - the regular season? If that's the case, then we already eliminated Alabama.

Probably true. The non SEC voters are not keen on two SEC teams in the BCSNCG. If Okie lite wins, look for the voters to move them up and the computers to carry them over Bama. Not that I care as we will beat either one in the BCSNCG.
