Why is ESPN completely dismissing the possibility of OK State jumping Bama?

I've heard that a rematch is all but set multiple times. Most recently at halftime of Tennessee/Kentucky with what's his face saying OK Stat has all but no shot.

im in the minority but i just dont see the voters letting a rematch happen.

don't worry, as long as OSU beats OU, they will be in the BCS NCG.
This rematch talk will change QUICKLY on Dec. 3 when when voters actually have to put pencil to paper.

It's not that hard to figure out:

Because Alabama lost to #1 and OSU lost to a 5-5 team?

Because there would be much, much more interest in an LSU/Bama rematch, and ESPN broadcasts the NCG.

why does everyone think a schedule is only 1 game?

I disagree. I think most people outside of the Southeast US are not interested in seeing these teams play again.

I can tell you one thing, it's gonna be so interesting to see how it all shakes out. Will the coaches votes all come out together? Like in a list for us to look at? I can not wait to see some of the votes.

They are waiting to see if you guys beat Oklahoma. I think you guys have a good shot of getting in if you win that game.

That's about the only way to compare two teams that don't play. You are comparing two 1 LOSS teams.

I believe they usually show them after poll is released.

Even though some people thought the original matchup was a snooze fest, it got amazing ratings. With all of the hype both teams have received all year, there's little doubt that a NCG rematch would build on that. Plus OSU doesn't have near the appeal as Alabama, especially in the context of this season.

there is a huge confirmation bias that most fans of the SEC experience while living in the SEC region.
Everyone talks about how great the conference is and nobody really disagrees.
But when you leave the region, the attitude is much, much different. In my experience, CFB fans outside of the southeast region typically acknowledge the SEC as being great while also being tired of the perceived attitude/arrogance (whether deserved or not). Most do not want an all SEC title game and that is reflected in that ESPN poll with over 23,000 respondents that voted against a rematch (65% against a rematch).
I imagine the voters will likely be against a rematch in similar numbers, as long as OSU wins.

one will be the outright champion of the toughest BCS conference (based on computer rankings)
one will have not even won their division
THat's a good comparison.

Who do y'all think Miles will vote at 2nd? And the Chiz and Bob Stoops?

Let's compare then.
Bama: 1 quality win after PSU loses today and no conference title
Okie St: wins Conference and has 4-5 quality wins
Okie St is in with a win. The entire reason the BCS gave the voters 2/3 of the formula was to prevent 03 from happening again.
