Best story about taking your kid to a game

2009 we drove 7 hours to see LSU vs Arky. I have season tickets to the cotton bowl that started with the 02 cotton bowl when we played Texas. I just renew every year just incase LSU is playing. I had told my son that if we beat Arky there was a good chance LSU would be in the cotton bowl and we would get to go. (Ole Miss screwed that up by losing to State) If we lost we would be in the Peach Bowl ( I'm old) and probably wouldn't get to go. LSU comes out on fire and Devine is going nuts the entire game. With a min togo Arky scores and I hear this awful whaling noise. I look down and Devine is squalling . I ask what was wrong cause this kid never cries and he responded " we're going to the Peach bowl. We came back and won and all was well .

One time I sent my 6 year old daughter to go get some ice cream. She came back just bawling her eyes out because some Oregon fan cursed her out because she was wearing her LSU gear.

My 4yo daughters first game was lsu arky 2 years ago. That season she sat and watched football games on tv so she had a clue about LSU. When we got to TS she starts screamin "look dad lsu look!!" Saying "geaux tigers" and "lsu" it all clicked what was goin on. Went to that chilly night game thru OT and didn't whine once, cheered the whole time. shes been to 5 games since then and We're goin back friday.

Took my son to his first game at Tiger Stadium when he was 4 some 14 years ago. The guy that sits in front of us stood up and cheered with the cheerleaders before the game. When he sat down my son poured his drink down his back.
He did take it like a sport stating that he has kids and has seen it before.

My sons first game was in 2009. He was 2. We played Vanderbilt in a night game and it rained the whole game. I thought it was awesome that for the next year, he associated LSU games with rain, and Borne always says "chance of rain, NEVER!"

When a new child comes into the world, earlier generations are given the task of passing on important values that define the past and project the future. On the Saturday of the WKU game, as my grandaughter and I were riding to the game, she asked if I had my LSU CD in the truck. She told me, "We need to listen to that!" Later, at Tiger Stadium, the GBFTL was lined up in the South end zone. As the drum major stepped out of the formation, she looked up at me and said, "This is the part that gives me the chills." Mission accomplished.

My daughter's 1st game, as a 7 y/o, was last year's game vs. Tennessee. What a game to be at for your first one!
Much to her mother's displeasure (she's an Ole Miss grad), she has really become a great Tiger fan and is in tune to the rankings and who we're playing. She recognizes the players and loves the defense.
Funniest quote from this past weekend was, "...we were beating them by half of one hundred so, we took a kneel down with 5 minutes in the game. Ole Miss is terrible."
Mom swears that I brainwashed her at infancy with the "Baby Tiger" dvd.

After we beat Alabama last year, my 7 year old told a Bama fan on the way out of the stadium that they had better not come back next week cause ULM was coming to town.
