1. We gave up two long passes for tds
2. We didn't stick with what worked for us on offense

Yeah, we gave up a fluke td pass at the end of the 1st half but IMO we didn't help out our defense at all on the offensive side. When we ran the ball last season, Arkansas had no answer but for some unknown reason we didn't stick with the ground game. We drove the ball multiple times deep in their territory just to change up what we did to get down there. We will run the ball and continue to run it.

Arkansas had an entire drive of running the ball later in the game. Our D looked gassed.

And Chavis not putting 4 guys 40 yards off the ball on the last play of the 1st half.

Remember that our offense under the previous OC had trouble in the Red Zone...was good between the 20's.

We had WAY too many 3 and outs in that game.

Hatcher was forced into duty because of Brandon Taylor's injury and he blew two huge assigments that resulted in 2 first half touchdowns by Arkansas.

If that doesn't happen, LSU wins.

Yeah, I remember us pounding the ball down the field just to see us go to an empty set with 5 WRs down at the 20. That was the most frustrating game other than the Tennessee game that I have ever witnessed as a Tiger fan.

Injuries, and lack of depth. Not to down play the Hogs, they came to play. Taylor being hurt, put Hatcher in a bad spot, and he went for kill shots, and took bad angles, for the tune of 14 points. Montgomery being out gave us NO pressure on the QB, we just had no rush. We were thin on the D-line rotation, and were just gassed in the fourth.. Little worried about Reid missing, but we fixed the rest IMO.

This. I usually dont blame single players for loses, but Hatcher single handedly lost the game for LSU.

we have a different OC this year. last year just wasn't our year. it was like the team was over analyzing the play calling and the breaks went their way. oh well, this year will be different. we're gonna roll.

Gave up two big plays, mostly on Hatcher for two of them. That one before the half was a killer!

Blocking a punt at the 5 and settle for a FG. In fact settling for two FGs in the second half. All while letting Knile Davis take over in the 4th.

JJ disappeared for a half as he did many times last year.

Those of you naming individuals as the "reason" for the loss understand nothing about the collective responsibility of teams.

Coach K would agree with me that LSU wins or loses as a TEAM. That is not Pollyanna bull. It is a fact.

I appreciate Karnell Hatcher. I thank him for sweating his arse off in August 2-a-days and for slamming himself into folks like Trent Richardson (at full speed) all for my Saturday entertainment.

HE did not "lose" that game. LSU did.

I'll cheer like hell for LSU on Friday.....including young Mr. Hatcher.

My bad. I just looked at our rushing yards last season and we had only 100 net rushing yards. (153 gross yards) I also saw that we had way too many FGs.

Same thing as UNC.

Hatcher was not ready to play.

Doesn't mean he isn't ready this year.
