ULL could become a mid-major nightmare for BCS teams if a progressive coach would stick around for a decade a create his legacy. There's so much talent w/in a 2 hour drive of that campus it's sickening.
I'd rather build a program up, tap into the energy and chemical companies for booster $, and create a mini-dynasty offering 4* and 5* caliber players with a 2* act and shaky gpa. The hard cap on SEC signings will create a pool of borderline qualifier that ULL can tap into and keep those kids close to home so their baby mamas can be still be close and they won't have to go play at Wyoming or App St.
Hudspeth should be happy to collect 15-20 years of $800,000 pay days than get impatient and take a job for a 1.5M at Memphis or Baylor for 3.
I dunno I just see ULL as a hidden goldmine of a program, if the Big 12 would invite them in they'd be respectable in that conference in 4 years minimum.

This damn sure hurt...
I think the UAB loss is going to cost Fedora a job this time around. How do you manage to lose to a team like that? UAB lost to Tulane 49-10. USM will end up 10-2 but losses like that are hard to explain.

quote:Huge "if". Why stick around for a decade in the Sun Belt, which is only barely a mid-major? If an AQ school comes calling, a coach would be a fool not to bolt.

This may be the single most delusional post in TD history.
